Oh no, you!

  • "Melts down"

    Yup, not reading that...

I assume that at most we're talking about a couple of asshats posting their frustration on Twitter.

  • I've done both. No need to grovel, but you can call me "your excellence"

  • I like the idea, and might get back into it (restarting), but previous time I started it I was thrown off by the overuse of metaphors. Maybe it's just an introduction-thing, but I found it very cumbersome to always have to read "The thing was X, like and Y that had undergone Z" instead of just "the thing was worn and green".

Yes, I know that writers should show rather than tell, but when the reader has to spend most of the reading time parsing metaphors that could've instead just been a factual statement, it becomes a very cumbersome read.

But I will give it another go. I like the sci-fi classics, and I suspect I'd like this one too

  • Norwegian:

  • "Fuming" and "melts down". Yeah, I'm not reading that article..

  • Free except from the drive to get there. But the drive is a lot cheaper than those racks would cost.

  • Vent fans at the top and the bottom. But it can be next to my work desk without the hardware getting annoying.

  • Not working on anything particular, but I'm going on a road trip on Tuesday to this regional airport that is giving away two racks perfect for my use case. Deep enough for my larger machines, sound proofed and 42U tall.

Finally my hardware can have a proper rack instead of being in a stack/pile in this harrypotteresque locker under my stairs.

  • Not much these days. While it used to be "everything", now it's:

    • Http/https
    • dns
    • Wireguard
    • Minecraft
    • beegfs
  • Chickens are pretty easy as long as they have access to the outdoors. Keep topping up the chickfeed, keep any foxes and cats away, and they'll be OK as long as the climate is on your (their) side.

  • Cows and grain. Mostly because I already know how.

I may be a well paid tech guy today, but I'll always be a hick and a yokel at heart.

  • "Shit where you eat."

  • As with everything else, the franchises have both undergone a shift of quantity over quality, so I haven't bothered keeping up to date with either.

  • Incorrect. He didn't die until August 3rd.

  • DeSantis in a couple of decades.

  • Star Trek vs Star Wars. I like both.

  • Ah, there you are... I was about to link to the picture you posted in my extruder-cleaning-post the other day, hehe.

Personally I have no experience with Creality, but I'll take your word for it.

  • Not sure anymore. It has been Samsung for a really long time because of excellent hardware (except from when it had a dedicated bixby button).

The hardware is still excellent (at least in the flagship models), but the software part has gotten so bloated and annoying that I'm going for something else next time.

The bloat is partially android itself, but Samsung layers it's own crap on top of that again.

I might go for Jolla next. Or a pixel with graphene.
