  • The most significant thing about this development is that Timmy (CEO) was extremely vocal about being basically anti-Linux. So this is, in a way, the market (and also Valve largely) forcing his hand, which is the way things should work in an educated society. It's the way capitalists like the pretend the world works.

  • Dell did that recently but I'd argue that's also very dumb. Just get a laptop. Or a mini PC. There's no logical reason to cram it into the keyboard (or especially the mouse). I'm sure it's a terrible keyboard as well.

    Hating matrix because lots of people are on the flagship server is like hating email because most people use Gmail.

    Well for one, yes, I absolutely do hate that most people use Gmail. This i s simply not the case with many competing protocols. For another, no, it's not the same, because Gmail makes no illusions of being private.
