He/him

  • The ability to do a Vulcan salute is genetic, and I always wonder what Trek would have looked like if Nimoy didn’t have the gene for it. Or if he hadn’t been Jewish, since peeking at the priestly blessing as a kid is what he said inspired it.

That one is probably too well known. Umm, do we all know about the officially licensed TOS novel Killing Time by Van Hise that had a reprint issued because it was too gay? (Kirk/Spock) I have one of the original versions around the house somewhere.

  • An internal audit revealed Eder used police databases to monitor the victim over a five-month span.

Eder turned himself into the Potter County Jail and was released on a single, $4,500 bond for all 78 charges combined.

$4500 for 78 charges?? People get higher bail for selling weed.

  • I’ve seen posters taped up under the cameras, but I also see more cameras.

  • I don’t see anything in the article about building more lights, just altering the timing so that the default light state is red instead of green.

  • Sounds great, but I don’t live there and do have to deal with drivers and traffic lights, and I would like to implement whatever measures will slow them down. If the first and easiest is altering traffic light patterns, cool, do it. I’m supposed to not want this?

  • Do you want traffic lights to only turn every 5-10 minutes? Lights were always going to be changing more than transit was arriving, if altering how it changes slows speeding drivers why wouldn’t you want that?

  • Legitimately congrats on being self aware enough to realize this is a problem you have, plenty of people never do. If you haven’t considered and have access to therapy that could help.

I would also say just learning more about different perspectives and ways of being helps kill extremism. You can not believe something but also try to understand the minds and experiences of those who do. Even if your conclusion is still ‘they are wrong’, you can at least understand what about their life and experience leads them to their beliefs, and extend to them the understanding that they are also people doing what makes sense to them according to their experiences.

  • Outside any further evidence I’m fine to say it’s not. Especially when the criticism seemingly stems from a lack of awareness of historical labor movements.

  • It is literally a labor slogan dating back to the 1800s.

  • 🫶🤝👉🤏

  • Reddit is doing age verification now?? lmao

  • I’ve been in 3 tornadoes… don’t wish to be in any more. If you see a green sky, get into a basement if you can and an interior room if you can’t.

  • Drown in the cesspit you’ve filled to overflowing.

  • Any curry is the answer, really. Chop veg, sauté, add curry sauce, you can’t fuck it up and it’s delicious. Rice as a side is also dead easy even without a rice cooker.

  • Now imagine the first party comes back into power and goes ‘wow, thank god that will never happen again!’ twice more and does nothing to change the incredibly abuse-prone system, and you might have something approaching an analogy with context. Republicans are not the only party that has been in power since 9/11.

This is completely ignoring that historically ‘centrist’ (conservative) Democrats have championed their immigration stance as ‘common sense’, ie indistinguishable from their Republican opponents.

  • Oh look, they finally found a way to make AI profitable! (It’s just scamming people again)

  • As many as he thinks he can get away with, I’m sure. If he waits until the end of the month to sign he was hoping the heat was going to die off.

  • They can’t hear you over their ‘gifts’ from generous conservative friends.

  • I use a glass jar as my ashtray for this reason (well, also because my cat is a horrible goblin that won’t leave anything alone). Screw the lid on and it doesn’t matter how spicy things get, it’ll run out of oxygen and put itself out.

  • This is what companies do when they have products they can definitely sell for money, right?

    E:

Its commitment is valued at more than $4 billion.

Oh, fuck me, it’s just more stock manipulation. Say how much you were paid or fuck off.
