  • Its fairly normal actually. Projects like Open Claw can be let loose on the web and because of the openes of the fediverse they don't have many obstacles in doing so. I also do not believe there is no human at all behind it, but what ever triggers it does not check what the ouput of it is. There so much 0 information filler text and the common AI structure that I do not think it was just used as "cleanup".

    I do not see much value in a partial solution if I do not know what is correct and I end up having to look it up myself anyways. Its just a waste of water. It might be a good list to start from but the information can never be trusted doesn't matter how much tokens you invest.

  • I was baffled when the other day a bot decided to show up in !buyeuropean@feddit.uk posting a very clearly vibe coded project that aggregated companies self made claims, which we all know is the best source! It currently sits on 300/15 vote ratio with comments being thankful for the "research" they have made. https://feddit.uk/post/52795270

    The internet is either dead or im getting crazy. Like, what are we doing here? They are even getting upvotes on em dash riddled comments with paragraphs upon paragraphs of unimportant, irrelevant shit. Please wake the fuck up. This is so stupid and has me in loss for words. With how much people hate AI on here I thought they would at least knew how to spot one. Actually zero media literacy.

  • I think I'd be okey with semi automated submissions if they are managed by the maintainer themselves. There were a couple of security incident of long existing vulnerabilities recently. I think its fine if maintainers have a bot running making security audits to find and fix them before somebody else can use them. Of course if some human going over potential PRs.

  • Yeah, I was surprised as well. I believe most of these kind of apps get around it by advertising as a RSS Reader or generic Mediathek. But from the Screenshots its hard to mistake it for something other than a YT Client. Guess Apple does dont care about it as much as Google would.

    If it works maybe we should keep it on the down low. Also only heard of it by chance.

  • I own a framework and the dongles are the only thing I would change. I think it would better if the whole side is replaceable with preconfigured IO. As its right now its alot of space wasted. I think the MNT Reform does it like that.

    Its so stupid especially as Minecraft (not sure about cod), the example they have given, provides community server as a built in feature. Its always so weird to see people lie so blatantly through their teeth in the name of companies. There are of more serious examples than videogame servers, but its even weird on this level.

  • Channels on PeerTube are already Communities on here so there is no need to tag something for videos to show up as long as somebody subscribes to the channel. If you search for a specific video on your instance it should show up with comments from across the Fediverse. (e.g.: https://makertube.net/videos/watch/b82221ac-53b2-4b72-94f7-4d1ee436cce1) However you can still crosspost the videos in more specific Communites. Comments are then aggregated from different Posts on Piefed and I think Lemmy 1.0

  • I guess there is just nobody on your instance (piefed.zip) subscribed to the channel which is why it does not federate. On piefed.social there is the latest one available (9 days ago) as i myself am subscribed.
