That's a ten second scene with no buildup or fallout (apart from everyone using the correct pronouns going forward). Adira was visibly hesitant in the moment, and you can take issue with that, but there was no extended struggle or "coming out" character arc.
Discovery had a painfully long and exceedingly meaningless arc about a character’s struggles with society’s views on their gender… When said society doesn’t have any negative views at all.
Who’s character arc are you talking about here? I don’t think that describes anything that happened in the show.
Seriously, had I seen a gay Klingon on TNG I would have completely gone with it because TNG had (mostly) great writers that would make some awesome episode about it that would make you think and talk about it for days.
Thank goodness, nothing like that. There's nothing to think or talk about, other than to shout down bigots. His relationship is built up in the background of unrelated episodes, given no more focus or fanfare than any other character's relationship. No one so much as says "huh, a gay Klingon". It's a non-issue. He's just matter-of-factly gay. In other words, they handled it perfectly.
I learned about those prints sometime in the '90s, and eventually tracked down a set for myself in the early days of ebay. Possibly my first online purchase, I was very excited.
You can find your missing page and most of the accompanying technical manual here:

If anyone's giving it a chance for the first time, I do recommend the extended edition. For some reason the theatrical cut out the low point of the relationship arc between the two main characters.
I don't think all the humour lands, but enough of it does, and the movie has a good heart. At the very least it remembered that Ghostbusters is a comedy. The new movies have the same flavour as every Marvel superhero outing.
Yeah, the effects are definitely not great. Over the years I’ve seen a couple fan attempts to redo them, it’s kind of nice to watch those from time to time.
I love every TOS movie, though of course none of them are perfect. I find a lot less to love by the second half of the TNG films. But my own bias has always been towards the original series.
Voyager’s bridge really was sweet. Love the enormous navigator’s console. Don’t know how practical it is, but it sure conveys that this is a maneuverable little sonuvabitch.
She can tolerate anything except bigots and Mexicans.
