i am not heppy with any surveillance but the article mentioned two concrete cases.
samdesk a global crisis monitoting tool warned an executive of a demonstration that might put him in harms way. they used anthtopic's model to plan an alternate root.
a guy typed into claude that he had just bought an ak-47 and had the ceo in his sights. anthropic alerted the police but still wouldnt hand over the user's chats citing privacy policies. soooo thats zero surveillance.
the article states that based on some jobs postings, the article writer had concluded that anthropic is creating some pre crime unit. i cant say they aren't but the article can't say they are.
people are using the word facist wrong. they are watering it down. but the guy is racist. he wasnt lamenting about illegal immigrants he was complaining that brits were no longer white. he did this by referencing a graph that showed the oercentage of british citizens (not illegal immigrants). this graph showed a percentage of white and non white and he referenced that exact percentage.
I am a believer in different tools for different jobs. I uses Kavita for written books. I use navidrome for music (it also does audiobooks but i haven't self-hosted audio books yet).
maybe you can find something different but i never saw his stance as "anti" linux but more 'linux isnt worth the time". being honest, i think its more that Microsoft has been very good to epic, however Microsoft has gone through too many identity crises.
either way, i do think there is a good future gaming on linux and linux in general.
what a weird title. the actual article is fact base but the title is just weird. why is it good (or bad) news? why not just say "CERN moves over 2,200 control system to drbian 13 to support the older hardware"
If you believe all that then you need to stop using linux all together. Linus sees AI tools as just tools so they can be used in the development if the Linux kernel. So Linux is a project using them. You must now stop using Linux.
They wont disappear. hugging face is two things. its a model repo and a compute provider. hugging face has paid plans to run models on their systems. nvidia will use this to run on their backend. this is how they plan to make money from hugging face. its in their best interest to keep the repo stuff as is.
is that what he is saying? maybe it flew over my head? i honestly didnt know what poknt ge was trying to make. thank you fir taking the time to explain it.
yes i commented without my reading glasses :)
