  • I can't imagine a better way to ensure people don't donate land ever again.

  • 404 Media is journalist-founded and supported by reader subscriptions. They are four high quality investigators doing amazing work (they work with a couple of other people on some stories).

If you can't afford it, I understand. I share archive links all the time. For anyone with a few extra bucks who cares about quality reporting by people with integrity, this is easily one of the best options around. I've been extremely happy knowing they exist. (Gets you extra content from their podcast, too.)

  • "This is more than shoddy reporting, it's intellectually dishonest," Stone continued. "Pure advocacy-driven click bait."

Maybe don't be evil pieces of shit for, what, a decade (at least since it's been widely covered)? That might help generate goodwill.

  • In Texas, Wilbur met with Paul Chabot in 2020, who runs a specialty realty service, Conservative Move. Started in 2017, the company has helped thousands of people relocate from blue states to red states, Chabot says.

Good. Gtfo. We don't need you. But for this to actually work in our favor, we need to sever ties with the middle of this country. The "national divorce" that shitheads like MTG talked about would be awesome if we really pursued it. Let California and NY (massive economies) form a new progressive government with likeminded states. Outside of Texas, the old USA will have economies like Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. That's gonna work out great for them.

"It's not like people are leaving just because they hate Democrats. They don't like Democrat policies, but they really feel like they're alone, alienated, ostracized," he says.

    I don't believe you.

  • That's the electricity in action.

  • The mean was five episodes per day.

    I'm finally above average.

  • Gosh, I wonder why people are upset? The economy is shit, we're in a pointless war, the files haven't been released (it's comical that they expected this one), only the mega-rich are thriving… what more could USA citizens possibly want?

I'm going to be crass: I'm financially well-off and largely unaffected by the harm this shithead causes. I'm a white male in the US. I've got the ticket and it's all by random chance. His stupid fucking base voted to harm themselves and I'm not sorry they're hurting. I'm sad for all the people I care about who are getting harmed in kind. My dear friends who are trans, for example. Those who have brown skin. Government workers who genuinely wanted to work for the public good.

Every maga piece of shit can stick their tongue up my ass and die. All the innocent people who are collateral damage deserve hugs.

  • Freaks.

  • It's gonna come crashing down pretty soon. It's gonna hurt all of us. It won't hurt the people responsible nearly enough.

  • I thought my mother was a rube when she voted for Trump the first time. I was angry when she voted for his the second time. I decided our relationship was over when she voted for him the third time.

You have to be willfully ignorant or a piece of shit to not know at this point. I hope she's the former. I'll keep hoping until the end of my life, because she's not a part of my world any more.

  • I can't imagine a more advanced mind. I mean, maybe Einstein, but we have proof of her discoveries and they're not at all abstract in the contemporary world! (I mean, they kinda are, but you get what I mean.)

  • Read? Are you some kind of NERD?! Fucking loser.

    /s I'm a history nerd and I read a lot.

  • Hooray for the Lady who might have written the first algorithm! She needs more attention.

Other: Charles Babbage (sp?) and the Analytic Engine: perhaps our first real computer. Imagine a steampunk world where all our devices were powered by huge mechanical chunks and chonks.

I saw a video of a constructed Analytical Engine (they couldn't manufacture the parts to the specs required in Babbage's time) donated to a Computer History museum by an early Microsoft exec. Didn't find it on a quick search, but it's a huge thing driven by a physical crank.

  • Good!

Remember how Amazon had cities compete to host data centers pre-pan and they were full of shit because they weren't the economic uplift they promised? It happened. You can find it if you search. I'm old and it's getting late for me, so you'll have to find it.

It's not a secret. It's kinda like how that shitty town in Wisconsin (I think?) city council ignored their constituents about a Foxconn factory that doesn't make the shit they said they'd make. Trump lied about it in his first term. Why bother now, you can just lock up your enemies.

There was a great podcast ep about it from Reply All before they went out of business for some terrible (allegedly) work practices. The townsfolk were pissed off.

  • At least once more.

  • Listen, you guys. I was gonna fire half of you no matter what. But it sounds a lot better if I say it's because a computer does your job now. See ya!

  • There are lights that work on some cameras. I'm not sure which (infrared, I think prolly others). Search the web. They exist. But how are you gonna have that at all times everywhere? Easier to set the Meta HQ on fire. And that's prolly not easy.

  • At one point, he even claimed that his personal intervention has kept the unpopular leader out of prison.

Something that hadn't occurred to me before, but that would make me happy, is that Trump would attack the shit out of Bebe if he felt the need. Imagine him declaring that prison was necessary. A nice thought. It won't happen, but it made me happy for a moment.

You choose, mother fucker: Bebe or Epstein. Go!

That's about the fastest way to make me think your opinion means shit.
