  • Well molten salt batteries are a thing, I'm presuming this is to buffer the output of the solar and that the losses were deemed acceptable given the renewable nature of this.

  • That's from the whole of march, I think it was around 760 for that day

  • Iirc one of the theoretical ways of generating power with fusion is magnetohydrodynamic generators which use the magnetic field created by the plasma to generate an electrical current directly. Still theoretical though...

  • Yeah looks like I did miss that bit. Still going to recommend stuff though :P. I was definitely reading stuff not intended for kids while I was still in school though so I might have a skewed perspective.

  • I mean there are definitely good works of fiction intended for younger readers. Off the top of my head there's the edge chronicles, skullduggery pleasant, mortal engines, a series of unfortunate events. All things I read when I was younger and from what I remember they never did any of the "this person is eeeeevil" things, I guess skullduggery pleasant had some things verging on that but it was usually eldritch horror type unknown evil than straight up "bad because I say so". And all of those series had depth.

  • I mean moons can be captured. So it's technically possible, just really unlikely.

  • I've taken aboout 3300 photos this month apparently... so I'm going to post a few and there's definitely more I can find.

So I caught this flying past the other day, an Atlas I believe

This is one of the Barbary Macaques from the recent zoo trip.

Some kites and various corvids were fighting over food in the bear and wolf enclosure at the same zoo. Not a great picture technically-speaking but the only one of the moment the kite went for something.

  • Not my garden :) groundhogs don't exist here

  • Fine, not ideal. I'm just speaking from experience with devs that don't play enough of their own stuff.

  • As long as they're at least playing their own games then that's fine

  • You can already do that with the lens though?

  • I got mine when I was 26 after doing on and off lessons and other practice for nearly 10 years. I learned most of it from lessons so neither.

  • Yeah I think the original game is maybe 10-20% of the game now.

  • Space age is huge compared to what there was before and I've had a few runs fizzle out early

  • Yeah I found I became my own worst enemy in silksong, whenever you get a new movement ability it just opens up a ton of crazy stuff you can do and for a while I was just fighting the urge to go too fast (and doing it anyway)

  • I got to the mantis bosses and stalled. I came back when skong came out and found out they were an optional boss. Now I've finished 2 acts of the second game so I guess I've come a way. The second one is so much more in every way though and you probably don't need to play the first before it but it helps.

  • Yeah it's good but minceraft has way more content potential. Even before you start piling on the modpacks.

  • I hate how the most reliable denuvo cracker crashed out and turned out to be actually insane (probably a requirement to crack it tbh) and an awful person

  • God I remember doing a puzzle in Jedi fallen order and about half way through it's like "oh maybe you should do this" and pointed me to the solution... Like if I'm playing on the hardest difficulty why are you throwing hints that ruin the whole thing?
