  • This suggests there is Dear Faith I - IV, where are they? I must know.

  • Capitalism Breeds Innovation Blind Greed!

  • Yeah as long as there's no money involved. Like if Mr. Beast was using someones artwork as his profile pic without [citation?], that'd be shitty and there likely would be legal action; however, if it was his personal use account that no one knows about and isn't monetized, there's no issue.

Just tell us who it is that created it ig... or don't. ¯(ツ)_/¯

  • Funky. If they did fix it it took them at least two and a half years to do it.

  • I remember a mod someone made for New Vegas that made all your items render in a loose ball on your back. Really shows how silly it is.

I was never able to get mods to work with New Vegas as I run a Linux system, but maybe you could try an inventory mod to help you like the game. I think figuring out how to do that would be worth it, it's a great game.

  • Sable. At first it was amazing... the music, the world and the characters were all so well done. It was such an immersive experience. I'd probably still be playing it right now even after completing it (also the only game I would have bothered to get all the cheevos); however, nearer to the end of the game there's a huge glaring bug the devs never bothered to fix: the best hover bike in the game bugs out whenever you drive over a sand dune and there are sand dunes everywhere in the game. That's like the main feature of the world; it's a desert planet. Every time you ride over a sand dune at top speed you'd spin every which way, your character would disappear, you'd stop moving and end up upside down halfway outside the map. One of the main selling points of the game was riding your hover bike around the world exploring places and just chilling out to the excellent music... well, this bug ruins the first two so all that's left is the music.

It's too bad... I really loved the game up to that point, which just so happened to be near the end where I couldn't refund it... I don't like badmouthing devs because there's a LOT of work that goes into making a game that I don't understand; however, no matter the reason, that's a shitty thing to do. Such a massive bug that ruins the game should be fixed... but they were incapable of doing so and likely never will. My final words on this topic are: Incompetent assholes.

  • I think you have it backwards. The Jim Carrey that Inducted Soundgarden into the RnR Hall of Fame isn't the real one, or rather, it's his stage persona. The Jim Carrey that accepted the César award is the real one... he was tearing up and just being present and whole. I don't really understand French, but to me it seemed like he was genuinely happy and grateful to accept the award as opposed to 'You're paying me to do this so I'll do it.'

Someone sort of translated his speech here, or at least the gist of it ig:

    https://deadline.com/2026/02/jim-carrey-french-roots-rare-public-appearance-cesar-honor-1236737944/

His 2014 appearance was weird, but I think he was dealing with a lot of mental stress that he wasn't able to effectively deal with. His speech at the César Awards was not weird and I don't know why you think it is.

    Today was a good day.

  • I try to open my bedroom window as little as possible because the air outside is usually poor quality and I have an active air filter monitoring my room and removing crud from it. I LOVE living in a car centric city in a country who's government has been partly captured by oil companies and dealerships at all levels.

I like to think the plants I have in my room help with the CO₂, but I don't feel they make that much of a difference.

  • Unless the air quality outside is poor or worse, the window stays open so I can cope with the reactive compounds created by the gas stove in my rental. I don't really know when my roommate cooks, so I just leave it cracked open a bit. I do live in Canada's PNW so it's not that big of an issue.

  • I was born and raised in northern Alberta and I hate the cold too. For me it's just the pain of waiting on the side of a road for a bus that's already twenty minutes late or sitting in the cab of your truck at -35°C waiting for it to warm up so you don't bust the engine. I hate the heat also though, it could sometimes get up to +35°C in my hometown, so like a 100 degree temperature difference... it really sucked and you can't escape the heat, at least not with the places I was able to rent back then.

    The lack of sun doesn't effect me that much, but maybe that's because mushrooms are always a part of my diet. In fact, my favourite days are damp and overcast, which is why I live on the coast now and love it except for the high unemployment. ;-;

  • Of the bands listed I've only ever listened to In Flames, and it makes a lot of sense. I liked Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose, but the newer stuff is just mediocre.

  • I suppose that's why we added mild pain to our diet. Mix things up a bit.

  • To add on to other peoples answers regarding the complete nutritional makeup of pet food; many animals can make a variety of the amino acids they need to survive with just a few inputs (like deer and cows eating only (mostly) plants), but some, especially predatory animals, cannot. They get those nutrients from the prey they eat, which in turn got them from the plants.

It essentially comes down to which enzymes any given organism can create, which ones their DNA codes for *or which microorganisms are allowed to exist within their system. Humans can't make a bunch of these amino acids themselves. Many (maybe all of them, not that far into my class yet) of the reactions taking in place in any living organism are entirely reliant on enzymes to catalyze them; that is, without them these reactions would take millions of years to complete.

BTW there are appr. 37x1017 (3,700,000,000,000,000,000) reactions happening in your body every second. All of them (or at least a great majority of them) require enzymes to complete.

  • I ate only soylent for a long time, and the lack of chewing did cause me some issues: first was bad oral hygiene. I brush and floss twice a day (after breakfast and before bed), yet I still got a cavity. Chewing normal food also cleans off plaques on your teeth, so when you're not chewing anything those plaques just sit there fucking your shit up. Second (*and this is just my conjecture) chewing causes activity in a certain part of the brain to spike, so if you're not chewing anything that part atrophies and causes depression. I forget where I read the chewing part though. So, along with the cavity, I also felt generally sad about everything. I would still definitely have it for lunch everyday because the nutrients are there, but yeah, unfortunately you have to chew stuff. I thought about just chewing gum, but those are all chock-full of microplastics so...
