youtube? the place with free quality documentaries, free knowledge in the easiest to digest video form about a huge variety of topics? the spot where you can learn life skills, cooking, hobbies, maths, physics, programming, among many others, with visualised tutorials showing every part of every step with explenations?
what on earth is happening to the internet these days? absolute insanity
social media is shit and i get restricting twitter or tiktok, but youtube? it seems so bizarre to me
oh, actually, there is a third option - very popular and widespread in Poland - BLIK - let's hope that a) they won't bend to the same bullshit b) they take the chance to go global.
BLIK is really nifty, you go to your banking app, generate a code, give the code to the website/seller, confirm in the app, and payment made.
and all you'll have to say (obviously steortyping here) is that if BLIK does the same as Visa & Mastercard, the Witcher & Cyberpunk will have to be banned due to adult content, instant win and security of NSFW media forever
Collective Shout happened, an australian organisation decided to wage global war on anything NSFW in games (so far), their key talking points are allegedly being feminist and anti-exploitation of women.
i wonder if they asked the women they're saying they're protecting if they want that "protection", or if they're imagining that women just don't make NSFW art
i could put up with their constant attempts to block adblocks, that was fine, felt like a fun battle (which adblockers were obviously going to win)
but i draw the line at auto translation, if i start seeing the videos i want to watch auto translated to the langauge of the country i'm in i'm going to actually flip out. and probably start using freetube again
hasn't this been a theory for a while now? The event horizon of a black hole keeps information minus one dimension. and the theory goes that our entire universe is just at the edge or a black hole in a 4D universe
it sure does matter to all the VFX artists who's work the AI has been trained on without their consent, and who now aren't getting hired because the plagiarism machine is cheaper
i think gasses can be licked, for example - if i put menthol shards into hot cup of water, i can definitely feel it on my tongue if i lick the air above the cup. therefore, lickable
to be fair, there was fuck all to do inbetween harvests. if someone came up to me as i'm bored out of my mind watching grains grow and said "hey wanna help build a huge fucking triangle? the pharaoh pays well" i'd say yes in a heartbeat. i doubt they had trouble finding workers
yeah i don't exactly buy that it was intentional but both directors turned out to be trans, so their life experience is definitely reflected in the script. and to be fair, it's very on brand for artists to say "oh yeah that was tooootally intentional, yes i planned it from the very beginning! yup!"
it's mostly "curated" to long form video essays about random bullshit, but i see your point
