just me

  • after i complained about it not working well for me and asked if there is something i'm missing that'd magically fix it (like maybe some special drivers) i mentioned i have dual monitors and someone told me mint is not made for that :') so i moved on

  • it's the hopelessness that gets to most of us, it certainly does to me. as you said not fast enough, all the good efforts exist sure but none of them seem to be able to outweigh the negative actions.

and even when good actions start happening i get the thought of "so we could've done that the entire time... but we just didn't" (i hope the NYC Mayor somehow becomes the president of the world, please)

  • we must be living in different civilisations then. all i'm hearing is "climate crisis faster than expected"

  • i mean... i hope good things will happen, but yeah i don't expect them to. especially when we look at the climate crisis, we're probably one of the last generations that'll remember the world when it was relatively normal

i just hope i die before the whole planet is forced to ration drinking water

  • ahhh, vector graphics, i dabble sometimes but not enough to recommend any alternatives. well, i hope you keep an eye out for new software/updates, being free of adobe feels amazing

  • is the software enforced by your work or is it what you feel the most comfortable using? because honestly i'm not missing photoshop as much as i thought i would, krita has most of my uses covered, and for photography i use darktable

  • don't give up :)

at first i tried to get Bazzite (didn't even install), then Mint (apparently it doesn't work well on dual monitors), and what finally worked was CachyOS, and i've been cruising on it for a few months now

  • from henceforth all the children that i may or may not have were born on Janurary 1st 1970

  • good news! there is a skeleton inside of you, it won't be cultural appropriation if you tell people to call you bone daddy, you can just do that :)

  • 425 what? kelvin?

  • i thought it was about some yokai who would then haunt that boy forever or something

  • hey give me those all rounder offers, all i'm seeing is "we're looking for a specialist in marketing in tiktok comments who speaking C2, B1, and A1 in Latin, Ancient Egyptian, and Mayan respectively. 5 years of experience required"

  • i much prefer doing positive attention baiting. on tiktok especially i like going to small artists' channels and saying nice things about their art (that i do mean), they reply quite often :)

sometimes i even get an amazing treat in return! - more art! not always, but sometimes, i notice artists posting more after i visit their channel a few times. It really makes me feel this comfortable warmth in my chest

  • last time i had trouble with a game i found out there was a SteamDB thingy where people smarter than me share launch attributes that make games run properly

  • also remember to not accidentally put sugar (roughly 1kg sugar [or 2 pounds] per 1000kg cement) into a coment mixer because it will completely destroy the whole batch :(

  • i also enjoy the Scots drinking cities dry and giving hats to statues

  • hell nah, the only reason why i don't call myself pan is because the flag colours are ugly

late sunset over a deep ocean vs printer toners

  • hey just wanted to say - thanks for admitting you misunderstood something. such a rare sight on the internet

  • it's less about intelligence and more about just not caring and being numb to ads

  • ADHD @lemmy.world

    how to keep doing something?
