It's somewhat galling that a religion that was forced on their ancestors remains more popular than average amongst Black Americans, but on the other hand in my experience Black churches tend to be more old-school and focus on helping the community, loving thy neighbor, etc. as opposed to the white supremecist hatemongers most others have become, so it makes sense.
