Banner is a gender-swapped AI image of me. I don't think it looks much like me, but I liked how it turned out.

  • So you can just never watch something in another language with subtitles and be able to see what's going on? That sucks!

  • Yeah, my brain short-circuited trying to envision a guy saying "crikey" in a Scottish accent. Something like "craykey", I guess.

  • Next to a castle that looked like Inverness since it reminded it of home.

  • Oh, if you still feel like you have more to learn that makes sense!

  • More power to them if they're actually able to follow what's going on! I can't divide my attention like that.

  • Why let them go? English is my native language and I always prefer subtitles when available.

  • The ones that really annoy me are when the character says something like "!Hola!", and it says [Speaking in a foreign language].

  • Different but related, it was annoying in Xenoblade 2 when Rex would yell "Homura!" and the subtitles would say "Pyra!" He did it a fair amount.

  • "Lock the nipper in the dunny!"

(nipper = child, dunny = bathroom)

  • I've never had trouble understanding non-Standard American English accents other than the really rural ones, whether the US South or another country. Possibly because I lived in Germany and watched Sky Channel as a kid.

  • Those of us who prefer subtitles read fast enough that we only need to flick our eyes down briefly to read them. We don't miss what's going on.

  • If you're not paying attention to the screen, you're certainly not paying attention to subtitles.

  • It looked like Animaniacs to me, and when I looked up the parody I remembered them doing, Star Truck, indeed that's what it's from!

  • A naturalist, noble and pure.

  • Look it up!

  • I might need it! (Never uses any of them)

  • I would assume that the fact that everyone in the world doesn't worship him as a god is either due to limitations to the genie's power or Trump being bad at wording wishes.
