  • Getting all possible vaccines has a high potential to indirectly help in that: you become less likely to die or encounter serious ailments if you happen to get infected from the bird flu and any other endemic diseases such as covid, influenza, etc.

In games for example getting both paralyzed and poisoned means your chances of dying or having permanent long-term debuffs is more likely than if you had poison and/or paralysis immunity.

  • For the fediverse I currently use Voyager and Raccoon for browsing and web for moderation.

As the mod tools becomes better over time I'll likely see myself primarily using Voyager and Raccoon.

In general though it's hard to say:

    • Like my banking apps have become so enshitified with spyware level 'features' I deleted the apps and just use their webpages now.
    • For Youtube and Peertube I primarily use Newpipe/Tubular/Peertube's official app. I use Invidious as the webpage exception for sharing youtube links here as Youtube's own links won't properly load thumbnails for me.
  • Unsurprisingly the capitalist engine chooses whatever makes line go up

Ethics costs money and lots of it, so it's typically the first on the chopping block

  • This post is a good reminder that I should save a copy of Wikipedia

  • 🍁

  • I'll start with:

Take a stretch and hike for a bit every hour or so, you'll save your back and lungs

  • That sucks but this reminds me of...

...and that's how I became king of the pirates, well anyways you should invest into my NFT cryptoAI trust me bro this gonna go to the moon!

  • Unfortunately I've yet to find a bypass.

At this point I'm getting ready to migrate to Peertube

  • I hang them up on one side of the closet

  • There is no slavery in Ba Sing Se

  • just a suggestion; for the first header you can unshorten Fed to Fediverse

    What's the Fed

Referring as Fed might confuse new arrivals and Fediverse is a commonly accepted term afaik👍

    Another suggestion:

From there, you then curate what the community's found to suit your interests as you would in other places, following/subscribing and blocking, muting, or keyword filtering, depending on where you're participating from.

    From there, you can:

    • opt-in and curate your personalized feed by following/subscribing to communities that's available.
    • opt-out and [block, mute, filter] by [users, communities, instances.
  • Furry Documentary

    Yess Butt

  • That and I'm truly greatful to all the users who may have noticed it first and reported them so that we can take care of it✊

  • It's a mix of both but at times it can be difficult to feel positive feelings (this is most likely due to my family)

  • With our world becoming crueler it feels more like a curse

  • When I volunteered as a new mod starting last year, I saw some horrific csam posts that I can't forget, I just hope those who reported them have recieved some mental health support.

To cope, I hike to my local park, take edibles, try to do anything to keep me distracted but it's hard to forget. Even as I sit here freezing in my chair the ticking of my clock is a deafening reminder of the garbage I've seen. It doesn't help in that I'm an empath(I receive the pain of others) either so I just think about why these things happen and try to promote systems that prevent past mistakes from reoccurring.

A couple systems I'm aiming to improve is public education and mental health support. When people know how to better protect themselves and those most trustworthy nearest to them, the higher likelihood that atrocities like these can be prevented and stopped. That's the hope anyways. No guarantee it'll work.
