  • I agree, the title is pretty useless.

Even something like "Fully charged a double A battery in 28 seconds" would've been useful/interesting.

  • itch.io is currently down

    Jump
  • no worries🤗

Same question as the other comment, do you know of any way to export posts/comments from a Lemmy instance? Trying to decide if I delete this account or just leave it as is.

Unfortunately as far as I know this isn't yet possible, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Currently my suggestion is to create a 2-way-link via your profile:

Currently the Voyager app doesn't show profiles but your profile and links will show up on the Raccoon appHope this somewhat helps!

  • an angy cutie😆

  • Chromium really?

After the whole debacle of manifest v3 they're really choosing Chromium of all browsers to develop on?

Mozilla has made some controversial decisions but surely Firefox would be the better decision for the Linux and FOSS ecosystem.Even better why not Librewolf?

Seeing this news makes me sad as there are better options available and the Linux foundation chose the worst one out of all of them.

Ironically I also just saw this here on the fediverse: Google loses in court, faces trial for collecting data on users who opted out

  • mine

also please give them plenty of pets for me!~🤗❤️

  • Public libraries

They are a literal treasure trove of information and resources if you know how to use them.

It's why I'm gonna donate to them once I can find or make a tech job/company

  • Here's a couple that I think are good so far:

    I'm recommending these based on:

    • threads blocked at minimum (fedipact being optimal)
    • good wholesome community activities and interactions
    • high number of trustworthy admins to provide you support and for content moderation (unless you like spam and zero-sum nonsense)
    • useful and cool local communities
    • my past exp with fellow moderators

Some will be more or less useful or interesting to you so honestly feel free to choose whichever you think fits best for you🤗

  • Zuck is one of humanity's cancers

  • I disagree in that it should be allowed here just because:

"AI content is here to stay"

The reasoning for my belief is that the generation is near instantaneous in contrast to the effort that real people make to create things. The speed of creation creates an inherent problem in that it becomes near impossible to determine if that item is something worth of value to others, this causes a problem for both moderators and content consumers.

No one likes the time wastage that comes from low quality posts, comments, goods.

Time is something people can never get back.

Until the halucinations can be decreased to point where it causes no harm or is unnoticible, it will always have a more than likely negative cost to most people.

The argument that it should be allowed because it continues to exist is hard to justify in my opinion. The known and current cons are too costly to outweight the future potential pros.

  • As an empath I did feel that someone with the same skill but with nefarious/selfish intentions could be quite destructive on society so I'm not surprised about this.

  • git yer own cardboard! Dis is my spot!

  • Fair enough👌

Everyone I've talked to so far said that it mostly makes them happy, halucinatory, and/or drowsy

  • gonna confess I was high on edibles when I got my recent covid and flu shot😂

Totally worth it as the rest of my family got sick while I was working doing fine
