Seems pretty accurate to me. It's like the abortion issue too. Democrats will campaign on things it knows people like, but when they have actual power to do something, they always come up short.
But there's also real people talking about real experiences. Primary sources spreading their eyes and ears across the world.
Except for the armies of bots ran by elected representatives and foreign governments making comments specifically to enflame, or selectively promoting the stories they want. Social media has no reason to fix this either.
So yes I get what your saying, but I don't see this getting better anytime soon.
Oh don't worry. Plenty of people will or have experienced climate change first hand when their homes burnt down, washed away or got destroyed by tornadoes. Either that or their insurance will just be like 'nope, we're out. Good luck!'
They can deny the science and stop the measurements, but it doesn't stop the effects.
