I wouldn't bet on it. This is Ohio we're talking about after all. Plus too many progressives would rather sit it out and wait for their perfect candidate down the road, after they've already lost.

My vote is less a vote for Amy Acton and more a vote against Vivek Ramaswami because Vivek is a complete piece of shit opportunistic grifter who will do absolutely nothing but enrich himself.
At the end of the day, she's still a better choice than Vivek. I'm not happy about how she's treating trans people but compared to Vivek she's still a better candidate.

UBI will be what they promise while they rape everyone and everything. Then when they have it all, they'll all the sudden be too busy or it'll be too expensive for UBI.
I'd say the fact that billionaires are even talking about UBI like it's on the table is just the redirection while they gut your social services. "Don't worry about us taking your healthcare, or your food stamps. You'll have UBI someday!" Pay no attention to the fact that you can't eat a promise. Don't acknowledge that UBI wouldn't address any cost issues. Even if they did make a real UBI someday, it would eventually not keep up with inflation, like everything else, by design.
If we want social safety nets, we need people who will build up socialist structures, not capitalists dangling yet another proverbial carrot on a stick.
He talks about working 22 hours over a few days like that's a lot. I'm betting you and I have worked 24 hours over the last 3 days and none of us are bitching about the time we put in. And we don't get vacations half the year.
and if you worked less than 3 days and put on this many hours and you're still this uninformed about things relevant to your job. Then you're not working, you're wasting time.
I like to buy a whole chicken and smoke it on the Weber. Usually eat a breast from it or a thigh, and do that with some fresh veggies. Sauteed green beans or roasted potatoes. I refrigerate the chicken then De-bone it and use the meat to make a chicken pot pie that I'll be able to have for lunch for like a week or more. I haven't bought a frozen pot pie since.
Computer programs don't inherently remove bias. If anything, they obfuscate it. We wouldn't have less gerrymandering from a computer program, we'd have more. We could require absolutely open and transparent code and data, and that still wouldn't be enough because the manipulations would be performed right in the open for everyone to see, but it would be 'okay' because it's not illegal. Much like our current system allows for gerrymandering for political purposes, this wouldn't address the issue, it would just make hiding and obfuscating the reasoning easier.
And as for electing supreme Court judges, if you thought presidential elections and political ads were bad now, it would be 100 times worse if we have to put up with political ads for judges on top of that. It would put more money in politics which is absolutely the wrong direction to go. We need a bigger, more representative supreme Court. We need more courts in general, and more judges to get through the cases that are already in the backlog. Your proposals would exacerbate our existing issues, not help us.
