She probably is an anti-Trump Republican. All the Republicans who can’t stomach Trump started moving to the Democratic Party. But they aren’t changing their beliefs, they are changing the party.
Either the GOP gets healthy or dies. There is a need for a progressive party.
You’re not crazy, but if people don’t show up for primaries and the rich are funding the candidates, this is what you get. Apathy and ignorance are what got us here.
Hillary and Biden didn’t win their primaries because the vote was rigged. Yeah they tipped the scales but if young people would have gotten off their ass and voted it would have been a landslide. Kamala was a disaster because we allowed Hilary and Biden. This stuff didn’t just happen.
I then get a response like, “what about Obama? He didn’t do shit”
Those people were probably not paying enough attention to the amount of shit the Bush administration left that needed fixing. Obama wasn’t great, but he tried. If the youth voted and elected proper senators and legislators, they can move that branch. Everyone wants a king when they are on the same team.
The entirety of governments can’t be changed overnight. Unless of course, you go violent. So either people need to help and get up and vote or go start a revolution.
Yeah, “real opposition would have called an election” but the people we have in power are the ones put there by the people who showed up to vote. And don’t get caught in the bait and switch line.
Yeah, yeah, elections don’t end fascism, true. But the road to fascism didn’t happen overnight, we let this happen.
