  • I got a 7900xt and I'm very happy with it!

    I wish I'd spent $100 more at the time and got the XTX. I just want that little bit extra in some games, where it might make 4k (medium) hit 80fps stable instead of 60fps. Or 2k (high) hit 120fps instead of 100.

    I will say, I got an XFX card and man are they long. Deffo check your case!

  • I mean, they're 100% correct to do this. Forgejo is definitionally a SaaS application thanks to https://codeberg.org/. Specifically because of the affero clause, you can't relicense AGPLv3 code as GPLv3, so you can't include it in the project.

    Moving it to some sort of pluggable module would be good, rather than just dropping it though. There's nothing stopping them shipping code that downloads and sets up exif-terminator. I think working with the AGPL would send a good message and set a good example here.

    I don't own one, that was just what I've seen about the chipset, LPCAMM2 memory and checking the stats on the pages.

  • It's roughly the same package as the middle power choice for framework, so similar.

    Battery is very similar, so's the GPU and RAM. Only big difference is the screen, which framework nailed.

    The framework 13 is almost a full lbs heavier than the 14 inch lemur pro.

  • Not ideal for the PC but I can offer a solid phone solution.

    ArchiveTune has all the power of YouTube music, none of the ads or subscriptions.

    Not sure how you're going to import that playlist, but it can sync playlists from YouTube, which might work for you.

    And if all they care about is their playlist, playlists can be downloaded, so even if it breaks later, you'd still have it.

  • Other people have answered this question but, it's worth noting that it's different per country, but there are at least two types of reporting treaties. Type 1, they report to the local government who does the reports to the IRS, or Type 2 where the businesses (FFIs, foreign financial institutions) themselves report account info directly to the IRS via online FATCA portals.

    There are very few Type 2 countries.

  • Was The Brave Little Toaster all that dark?

  • Some of it is dark if you sit thinking about it too long. The toaster has a nightmare about choking it's master with smoke, forks being stuffed in it, and falling in to a full bath. I wouldn't have thought any of this is scary for a toaster, rather it shows a preoccupation with its master somehow committing suicide with it.

    On the flip side, my three year old just watched it, and is now obsessed. We've watched it 5 times this week. She loves it - even the "It's a B movie show" song.

  • I was using Slide for Reddit ages. Thunder's worked for me, pretty much happy.

    The only thing I miss from Slide is the option to cache stuff offline for plane rides and stuff.

    Maybe Summit will be the answer, because I'm interested in trying piefed and it boasts a 'Powerful caching system'

  • Breeze white, left on laptops. I use the track pad left-handed. Always freaks people out when the cursor is reversed and I'm used to it now.

    Also, if you're trying to click on the first half of a letter to highlight (and the cursor doesn't switch to the beam), I find it easier when you can see more of the letter.

    • They can coopt all the open source licenses they want, the development work doesn't need them.
    • They're not capturing all commits going forward in time, they'll have to redo it every time they need an updated library.
    • Any legal work done later that legitimizes this relicensing will open the door for the public, open source world, and more importantly, other relicensing companies to do it to them.

    I believe the end game of legitimizing open source relicensing theft is accidentally abolishing software copyright altogether.
