  • Even Black Mirror wouldn't go this far because it's too banal, but Sony would

  • Citations required.

  • thanks for the update we were worried about you be safe see you soon

  • "Best executed" is doing a lot of heavy lifting here, and your definition of "best" seems to be serving economic outcomes rather than civilizational ones.

    Barley enjoying the catio

  • He won't. But he totally can

  • Who is "he" in this?

  • Is it because enforcement of systemic bureaucratic hierarchies leads to dehumanization, which creates friction & resentment that build over time until individuals inevitably lash out?

Or like, something close to that? I'd love to hear more.

  • Context? What's context? Who would need context for this? Everyone knows "Kane" and the "complex".

...I have no idea what this is about. That's probably a Me problem

  • Definitely Bruce Boxleitner, the character not the actor

  • I really wanted to enjoy China Mieville's three "Bas Lag" books (including The Scar) but they're just too gloomy and the characters too morose.

Then I read Tchaikovsky's "Tyrant Philosophers" series and it felt like he out-Mieville'd Mieville.

Edit- But like, in a really good way

  • I Mother Earth - Scenery & Fish

90's Canadian rock, with "Shortcut to Moncton" as my favourite track, and "One More Astronaut" as the album's biggest single. I listened to this one end to end so many times, and there's not a bad song on it, my fave just in terms of number of listens. It's aged okay. I don't replay it obsessively like I did in my late teens

  • What if that's how everything works, but in 22 dimensions?

  • Is there an article to serve as a citation?

  • I just assumed they were trying to copy Apple, rather than having an original idea.
