I can plan my route on my phone at home and see the map on the big screen instead the little phone ui, or worse putting in the adress manually with the keyboard wheel in Korean instead of copy and pasting it from the Element chat
I already have all my music on my phone, I don't want to copy and organize it again for hours in my car
I already have integration with many apps on my phone, I don't want to set everything up again on the car, especially I can't copy and paste my long ass passwords from my KeePassXC into the car and need to painstakingly put in every password with their clunky keyboard, if they even have a keyboard.
I could go on forever. But as long as I can connect bluetooth and set up my phone somewhere so I can see the map while driving I'll be OK. The worst part, at work what I do is car infotainment system software, but it never has any of the features I would want from a car.
Just use port 443 or 80 and use sub domains and a reverse proxy for each of your services.
For example:
https://rss.example.com goes to port 443 on your server where you run a nginx with letsencrypt. You set up a vhost for this subdomain which then internally proxies to your IP adress and port for freshrss.
It's the same thing, you can host it yourself or let someone host it for you. But you're right with your feeling that they don't really prioritize a slim profile for selfhosters with this system. I had to give it up and move to some more lightweight alternatives for those parts I'm using.
Same here, I used other free apps in Sweden, went on a couple of dates but it never clicked. Went on a business trip to South Korea, installed tinder because it was the only international app I knew of, paid for some premium, within days I met the first woman, we fell in love and are married now.

So how do you like niri and is it stable enough to be a daily driver? Also what kind of screen do you have for it to be useful? I have a feeling that it's extra useful on wide screens but when it comes to ones which are fairly high it's less useful, is my assumption correct?
Haha, yeah, although some of my hobbies slowed down a lot since I got a family. Small children really take up a lot of time.
Today for example the 2.5 years old ate a lot of potato's and schnitzel without really chewing. Then he drank a ton of milk after dinner. While his big sister already went to bed at 21:30 he was still jumping on the bed at 22:00 und suddenly he puked out everything on the bed. So we had to clean RhE bed, the floor, him and us, was everything, shower etc.
Now it's 23:00 and he is still excited about it and is singing in the freshly made bed instead of sleeping.
Actually we wanted to watch a episode of some TV series bit now it's way too late for this.
