  • That was what I couldn't believe that 3/4 of all Macs today are running a 10 years old version of Apples Operating system.

  • StatCounter lists OS X at 11.89% and macOS at 4.48% for June 2026

    What?

  • In 2003 I started making websites for my bands, then for my daughters Kindergarten, then for a friends business, I learned so much doing it that after 3 years I was able to get a job as a web frontend developer. And that was my entry to the IT industry I went to university to study computer science and now I work as a Architect and Product Manager of a big system in the automobile industry.

  • I think for westerners spoken Japanese is easier and written Korean is easier.

  • Damn, I'm in the same boat. I didn't attend one meeting because ut was too late in My timezone and the others chose this moment to vote me to become the lead of the AI acceleration initiative where we have half a year to come up with and implement things on each step from requirements, through architecture and development to testing on all levels.

And yeah we better come up with something useful because I already know they have to reduce the work force because there is no money and the people who will be left can't do all of it alone without help.

  • What we did in my dads house was just to repurpouse old wifi routers as access points and put them everywhere where there was no coverage. But we pulled Ethernet all the way to each of them. Then we put the same SSID and password so everything would just switch to the one with the atrongest signal automatically.

  • I like GLM 5.2 it's good enough for practically everything I'm doing, especially tool calls.

  • According to me friends, according to my wife Seinfeld.I feel it depends when in your life you discover it and how good your English is at that time. Friends is very beginner friendly and straight forward.

  • This is so funny

  • I have a raspberry pie with Home assistant on it and I run Nginx Proxy Manager on it. It does the whole HTTPS thing and exposes specific services from my internal network for easy access for me and my family.

  • Good idea, who needs air anyway?

  • I only use Jellyfin because we want to watch it on the TV and not on the laptop.

  • Hm My PieFed instance would be the only one fitting the "daily" bill.

  • Radicals is an amazing software but I also struggled to understand the concept at first, the documentation assumes you know so much already, which you normally don't. But once you get through the initial hurdle it's really reliable and uses minimal resources.

  • But about the videos and photos I think you're a bit wrong, I still rewatch my dads home videos from the 90's

  • I moved to https://mxroute.com/ and payed $15 for three years of hosting because they had some promotion.
