This is strangely a good thing. Current regulations are based on atomic bomb explosions and don't correctly account for natural and background radiation.
The old reg used a cumulative model which is Obama since all life on earth evolved with radiation exposure. The new regulation should reduce construction and operation costs while making no difference in cancer or radiation related deaths.
A trans Atlantic or Pacific flight already exposes average people to more than the nrc is talking about here and we don't even think twice about that exposure.
I would always suggest joining the IBEW and becoming an electrician. You can start with no experience and get trained up over a few years for a career that will pay at or near 6 figures.
All while providing health insurance and retirement.
Not totally, but if they ask for an answer or ask AI to do something for them so they dont have to think im suspect.
I think AI can be useful, I use it to help me edit and proof my writing, but I specifically wont let it rewrite my words. I will let it make suggestions for clarity and grammar but thats the limit.
I will use AI to generate a meme level image, but im not going to use it for a presentation or as part of something that would have been a paid element.
I have played with using it to help me prototype some software, but I still read all the code, and I still take the time to understand what its writing.
AI replacing your own thoughts is bad, AI helping you refine and extend your thoughts is mostly ok.
They wont win, they will cheat, steal, coerce, and threaten their way into office. They are so unpopular that mafia/fascist tactics are the only option.
Nice of them to identify all our next set of targets, just remember folks these are the people who only pretend to fight fascism.
They are ok with deporting your neighbors.
They are ok with bombing children.
They are ok with genocide.
They are ok with the criminal plundering of America.
They are part of the Epstein class.
Lots of people would exit the traditional job market, millions would start small private business. Pay would go up both because of the healthcare savings to companies and because people would stop working shit jobs for shit pay just to keep health insurance.
It might also lead to a massive recession as for profit healthcare providers and services last l lay off workers and go bankrupt.
So mixed bag probably good overall for workers, very bad for capitalists. But there would be a massive labor disruption and lots of people would be on the losing side initially.
I would support a transitional system where every say 5 years we lower the age for Medicare access so we gradually ween off the old system and the healthiest most profitable pool stays in the old system the longest.
It still screws over the next generation which I don't love or think it's fair but the ACA created a system so entrenched I don't think there is a way to roll it back without causing pain.
I have moved to terminal applications. Micro is my current pick but I'm just editing scripts and doing basic things most of the time.
