  • This part's relevant:

I can't understand what I even want at this point.

You can't have an in-depth conversation("talk deep") with someone until you have something to talk about.

Once you know what you are interested in, you can be honest and express yourself concerning your interest in a topic with another person in a way that shows you've given considerable thought to said topic.

Then you really listen to what the other person says, consider it, and riff on that.

Conversation, or "talking deep", is not about being the most correct or knowledgeable("scientists") response, but about expressing yourself, diving in, and figuring out your feelings about a topic by exchanging ideas with another person.

  • No single word im aware of, exsiccation sounds cool.

My only speed bump is hyperbolically saying "Yes I'm exsiccating", but that's fine. Parched or dehydrated are technically correct, but don't have the same punch as "starving".

  • Doesn't seem like it, Between the slower growth rate, lack of profit motive, decentralization and community funded instances, people act much more decently here. Reddit was pretty impotent-ragey from the get-go without a way to tune out the bigots. On lemmy, places like hexbear are easily exiled. Womensstuff has bigots, i blocked them, done.

  • I had a great time playing Undertale, I actually played it straight through again right after to get the pacifist ending because I was so thrown by the final speech implications at the end of the normal game.

  • what's the thing with Undertale Yellow? i don't know much about fangames.

  • I know you like your gaslighting, Velma, continue.

  • exactly, thank you.

  • No, you are not correct.

Yes, I respond to Velma when she messages me(or as you call it, harasses me).

  • Asking a question does not make you a troll.

I understand why you want to make things up, but I am not "trolling" anyone.

Apparently I make you upset, but that's on you.

  • There's no proof of me breaking any rules, I agree.

  • No, you just attacked me.

  • How is a real community and a real post and evidence of all of this happening trolling?

You're not using that word correctly, Velma.

  • What are you talking about?

  • Go for it, provide proof.

I know there is none, so I invite you to provide proof of me breaking any of the rules in that com.

  • Someone above has linked some deleted comments, I don't know if the post is up or not.

context: I asked what a meme meant, people cursed at me, attacked me, called me "daddy" (that part was surprising), and none of the members were banned for breaking the rules.

I don't know if you ever used Reddit, but you will find that sort of behavior all over there.

  • wow, i live among social mediaheads for sure.

  • I don't like people following me and attacking me for no reason.

    Like you. Now.

  • Continue stalking me all you like,, Velma.

There's zero proof of me violating any rules.

  • What are you talking about?

That's the exact meme they all got angry about

  • Ask Lemmy @lemmy.world
    Locked

Anyone else try to show Lemmy to their friends only for the wrong side of Lemmy to scare them off?

  • Linux @programming.dev

Does anyone have a way to automatically disable night light during full screen apps on Linux Mint?
