  • anyone who disagrees with you is a bot, or a paid shill!

    Im specifically talking about:

Another .ml account that is just starting to get active before the midterm to attack Dems…

It's a pattern, recognizable by everyone not on .ml or a handful of troll instances.

Like, you're literally out here telling people not to vote:

Libs really think they can vote themselves out of capitalism and the climate crisis, how sad is that?

And you're surprised people don't like that?

  • Whatever the biggest take away is, depends on context...

The second biggest take away tho, is always: Don't Panic

  • Unfortunately there's going to be a lot of new accounts telling people not to vote in the midterms...

  • Stranger in A Strange Land was called "the hippy bible" for a reason...

It was written in the 1960s tho, so even the "woke" parts can be pretty problematic. That just means society progresses tho. If 60 year old media doesn't have anything problematic in it, it means society has stalled instead of peogressed

  • Republicans care about the opinions of drug addict single mothers now?

When his mother erased Donald Bowman from his and her lives, the adoption process also erased the name James Donald Bowman from the public record. The only birth certificate for Vance on file at Ohio’s vital statistics office reads James David Hamel, according to information provided by the state, cited by the Associated Press.

He would spend more than two decades as James David “J.D.” Hamel, and served in Iraq as a US Marine – Corporal James D Hamel. But the situation gnawed at him, particularly after his mother and adoptive father divorced.

“I shared a name with no one I really cared about (which bothered me already), and with Bob gone, explaining why my name was J.D. Hamel would require a few additional awkward moments,” he wrote in Hillbilly Elegy.

"Yeah, my legal father’s last name is Hamel. You haven’t met him because I don’t see him. No, I don’t know why I don’t see him. Of all the things that I hated about my childhood, nothing compared to the revolving door of father figures.”

He decided to change his name again, to Vance — the last name of his beloved “Mamaw.” Vance’s mother suffered with substance abuse and addiction, and was allegedly abusive to her children, leading to him being taken in and brought up by James and Bonnie Vance.

Vance paid tribute to his grandmother, a union Democrat, during his acceptance speech after being elected to the US Senate in 2022.

Lil JD is still just looking for a Daddy that won't run off in a couple years, I really won't be surprised if he tries to change his name to trump for 2028

  • We need a strong enough win in November to oust Jeffries.

Leadership elections were like 2 weeks before DNC elections...

If people had voted against Schumer/Jefferies, and a neoliberal won chair, they would withhold funding from entire states as punishment.

The current chair drained the Victory Fund, and stopped stealing from state parties, which is why people became confident to openly shit talk Schumer/Jefferies.

They don't have a chance at retaining leadership in the next Congress.

  • Not "the party", just lame duck Jefferies:

Despite growing dissatisfaction among Democratic voters with the U.S.’s ongoing military support for Israel, the House Democratic leadership has picked two foreign policy hawks — Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Florida) and Wesley Bell (D-Missouri) — to join the House Foreign Affairs Committee (HFAC), while also promoting an even worse hawk, Jared Moskowitz (D-Florida), to become a ranking member of the Middle East and North Africa subcommittee.

Him and Schumer want to depress Dem turnout so they can try to replace DNC chair before presidential primary because the neoliberal faction can't win a fair primary, and that's what we're set to get

  • I mean, don't vote for them...

But not voting for anyone else with a D by their name because of these asshats, is just going to let these asshats take over the party.

Most Americans don't get to vote in any election that has any of them on a ballot.

  • The article still misses the entire point...

It focuses on what kind of candidate the party should push. When what's been working is the party staying out of it, and just letting the voters pick the candidate they want in fair primaries.

  • I mean...

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_cities_by_number_of_billionaires

They've got the 8th highest amount of billionaires world wide of any city.

Per capita I think Jackson Hole Wyoming is the highest, due to multiple homes and cheap state tax. So everyone makes their luxury cabin out their their main residence.

But San Francisco kind of makes as the last place neoliberalsmwouldnhold onto.

And the thing is, if that's as left as they can go, that shouldn't be a problem. Because 99.99999% of the rest of the country isn't obscenely wealthy and legitimately six months away from being a billionaire most of their career if they get lucky on an IPO.

They can get on the bus, they just shouldn't be anywhere near the steering wheel.

  • The San Francisco Democratic Party voted 17–4 to oppose Proposition 40—with five members abstaining, five members absent, and one member with no endorsement. Nancy Pelosi chose not to endorse the measure. This comes just weeks after the California Democratic Party endorsed the measure in August after a contentious vote that succeeded above the 60% threshold.

People are shocked San Fran still has neoliberals?

That's actually pretty good results for this tiny slice of America.

Especially since the state party is behind it, who cares what San Fran says?

  • Why it's different this time, is the DNC is going to keep supporting progressives instead of sabatoging them

Democratic National Committee Chair Ken Martin also made clear the party will stand with Nixon.

“As an accomplished state representative and union organizer, Angie Nixon has dedicated herself to fighting for working families,” he said. “Floridians have chosen a proven leader with the experience and vision to lower costs, expand access to healthcare, make childcare and housing more affordable, fight for workers, protect public education, and deliver results for families across the Sunshine State. The DNC is ready to help elect Angie and work together to flip this seat, win the Senate majority, and deliver for all Floridians.”

    https://floridapolitics.com/archives/815310-angie-nixon-snags-democratic-nomination-heads-to-general-election-against-ashley-moody/

It's all progressives ever needed, a party that actually wants to win elections.

  • Oh hey look at that...

From a sure thing to "pretty much never"

If I gave a fuck about helping you understand things, I'm sure we could work this out eventually.

But I don't, so best of luck in all your endeavors, except trying to depress Dem turnout.

  • Forty out of 47 Senate Democrats voted in favor of one of the resolutions to block a $295 million sale of bulldozers, which the initiative’s author, Senator Bernie Sanders, claimed would be used to demolish homes in the West Bank, Gaza and Lebanon. Fifty-nine senators — mostly Republicans — voted against blocking the sale.

Thirty-six Democrats backed another resolution aimed at blocking a $152 million sale of 1,000-pound bombs to the IDF, which Sanders argued would be used in Gaza and Lebanon. Sixty-three senators voted against blocking the sale.

    So...

You don't understand how your link backs up my point?

117th congress passed 2.0%, 118th passed 1.4%, and the 119th is about to end at 0.6%...

In this congress 18,500 Bill introduced, 104 became law. Except for annual budget, almost all of them were very small things no one cares about. Something this big hasn't been able to pass for a very very long time now.

Senators not voting for one bill, doesn't mean they'd vote yes for the opposite. That is an incredibly basic way to think

  • I have no trouble imagining that such a law would get 60 votes.

I can imagine I'm in Narnia...

But it doesn't mean my dog will start talking.

If you think there are 60 who will vote for it, sit down and try to write down which Dems would. You'll feel better when you cant get to 60

  • Yeah...

So "simple" to get 60 Senators on the same page in 2026...

How the fuck did you think people needed that explained though?
