  • The correct response would be a picture of trump, a picture of Vance pre-ozempic...

And asking why he isn't giving those peptides to his daddy if obesity is so serious.

Not because insults are effective, but because it could piss trump off that JD is making fun of fat people. It puts JD on the backpedal, and would cause him a great amount of stress over if trump would be pissed.

While also highlighting that Vance couldn't lose the weight on his own but also was vain enough that his weight matters, attacking his masculine ego over how he wasn't able to do it on his own and still cares what others think.

    Like...

These people are fucking idiots, it's not hard to figure out what to respond with to fuck with them the most. All you need is cause some cognitive dissonance so they don't have a path where they can stick to all the talking points.

If being fat is bad, what the fuck is trump doing? Or the majority of his voters even

  • You really just give a list of everyone who's taken AIPAC money, and then told me to go thru and check who had a primary and who won to see if it adds up to the "100s" that you claimed just won a primary?!

  • But usage is down

    Buddy...

Burning coal where it is dug will always be less pollution than shipping it to the other side of the planet using different fossil fuels, and then burning it over there.

Global Warming isn't just a nimby issue...

That's why it's called Global Warming

  • So...

First you said it was made up...

    I provided proof...

So now it's not made up, it's just totally cool that it happens.

You don't see any issue at all with lack of logical consistency?

  • the 100s of other races where pro-AIPAC candidates won

    What are you talking about?

    https://lemmy.world/modlog?page=1&actionType=All&modId=855573

That's your main admin, constantly doing mod level moderation all over the place.

Anything they don't like, anywhere on their instance, they censor.

  • NYT is just straight up pro-Israel propaganda now apparently...

Backing a Republican in a competitive general election — especially in a crucial swing state — would be an extraordinary shift for AIPAC. The organization has long considered itself bipartisan and began spending in federal elections only in 2022.

Like, saying that means no reader can trust anything else in the article.

Either the author isn't a complete idiot and are lying, or they're completely uninformed and not equipped to talk about this topic.

  • AIPAC was literally created because their predecessor had to register as a foreign agent...

AIPACs first recipients of funds, were the people who sat on the very same committee. I want to think just months later, but it was at least the same people.

And that's the story of how shit got so fucked up, and why AIPAC doesn't have to register as a foreign agent.

  • They'd have most likely supported the Republican no matter who won the dem.primary...

Israel is a poison pill for Dems, even if they can get you past the primary, they still want a Republican Congress that lets trump do anything he wants.

Ironically Israel is about to do most of the heavy lifting on purging the Dem party of zionists, the vast majority will all lose to AIPAC funded Republicans in generals even if they win their primaries.

  • USAGE

I think the problem is we're talking about two different things...

What I don't understand is why you capslocked "usage" if you didn't notice they were separate things.

Like, it should be obvious but which do you think causes more pollution and global climate change:

    1. Digging up a ton of coal in West Virginia, and burning it in West Virginia under US laws.
    2. Digging up a ton of coal in West Virginia, loading it onto a boat, shipping it to China, distributing to their rural areas who rely on coal, them burning it with zero environmental regulations.

Not saying it's good to burn coal here.

Just explaining why I explicitly brought up production and not usage.

Because the only thing worse than using your own fossil fuel reserve, bis destroying your environment to sell it to another country.

That fucking coal will be just as good in a thousand years, and we probably wouldn't need to frack to get it if we ever did need it.

People don't understand how much tech bros would charge for that kind of stored energy storage on that long of timeframe, it's literally invaluable when you look at it on a long timeline.

Or why countries with a shit ton of coal themselves are happy to pay more to get ours.

Once we can't sell anymore, theirs becomes a shit ton more valuable

  • Then be ready...

Like, if you're sure it's gonna happen, there is no logical reason to not be ready.

  • To be fair, there's not many other blatantly corrupt countries left to choose from...

  • Wow that went dark quickly

Wait till you hear about the "people's" revolution under Mao...

  • "The establishment" is the DNC...

The current DNC wont endorse anyone in a primary, which is good because a huge problem with the past DNC, has been weighing in on primaries.

The chair endorsed El-Sayed almost immediately after the primary results, anything faster or slower, and yeah, that's a problem.

    But this wasn't.

Pretending that a couple dinosaurs who will lose their own primaries is "the establishment" only turns people off from the party, making them less likely to vote in primaries, and making progressives less likely to win.

  • Piefed has the option to use built in block lists for users and domains, along with a bunch of other stuff.

It all sounds great, but it's someone else making those choices for you.

    Like, if someone said:

Evil people shouldn't be left alone with children

Like 99.99% of people will agree, everyone is onboard.

The issue is when a bunch of people then realize they disagree on who is "evil". Some people will only disagree on minute details, others will be complete opposites.

So a logical person, would likely prefer an instance without built-in filtering, because it's really not hard to do yourself.

That being said, some pifed instances don't use those features.

Like, I could make a list titled "Nazis to block" and fill it with 90% actual Nazis, and then the other 10% is people who taste soap when they eat cilantro...

The vast majority of people would want that blocklist. And they'd just "join" it or however it works, and my silent crusade against non-cilantro enjoyers progresses because now their outreach is blocked.

It's just a poor trade off compared to blocking the obvious problem accounts on sticking to well moderated communities. Especially since they that method, users won't see their comments even on other instances

  • It wasnt to make money, it was to make trump happy...

And don't forget a company showing a loss equals a tax break.

Lots of times the people make a shit ton of money, but the company loses money, often because of how much it paid high level employees.

Kind of like how a "non profit" just has to pay the CEO millions and throw a bunch of fundraisers so that the organization makes no money. Which is why trump is barred from running non profits

Its a safe assumption the event intentionally "lost" money

  • Yes, that is how linear time works...

But if you've ignored everything up to November, I'm not going to be surprised when you come up with a reason why those don't count either.

  • I mean, if he was so wise about climate change, why did we break fossil fuel production records under Biden after trump broke them?

  • Block lemmy.ml if lemmy feels tirening.
