    Yes, slack-jawed reader, this whole thing is likely a creative little metaphor for Monáe’s own connection to Bowie’s music, and how it gave her the courage to embrace her own chameleon-esque powers of artistic reinvention and genre-smashing personal growth.

    Well, she's an alien from outer space and a cybergirl without a face a heart or a mind, so it makes sense.

  • I've lived in and around forests my entire life and existed near innumerable squirrels. I even worked for a lady who fed squirrels, so I've been near squirrels who are overly used to humans. I have no idea what I'd do if one attacked me out of nowhere. I just leave them be, so it'd be like if a chair suddenly went for the throat as I walked past. I'm out here being careful to not startle a bear into attacking, like a fool.

    Further, there might be other factors related to acetaminophen use, such as fevers (which are known to cause increased rates of neurodevelopmental delays).

    Guess we're about to do a large society-wide experiment to prove whether high untreated fevers during pregnancy lead to developmental delays.

    And when they get loose and start causing problems to local ecosystems, it's going to cause way more money loss than paying some people to regulate them. I don't know if honeypot ants in florida will cause the same problems as ash borers or lanternflies, but that's not a gamble i want to take.
