    However, Signorile then pointed out that court filings related to Miller’s ex-wife seeking of a restraining order against him included a text message threat that Miller made to Bernie Moreno.

    “I’m sick of this, you know I never hurt our daughter. Take this however you want, everyone is going to get to know you better than your wife does,” Miller wrote to Bernie Moreno in the text. “Enjoy the ride brother, I wouldn’t have to do this if you could keep your lying daughter under control.”

    Of course, this is just speculation. That definitely reads like a blackmail attempt, though, whatever the reason for it.

  • I do think that sometimes we too quickly dismiss foods like this. Our expectations can get in the way of something interesting.

    I doubt this is like that fancy ice cream parlor that opened up near me that did weird flavors that got professional food critics raving. This is dominos. They tossed some garlic in and waited for the grossed out word of mouth advertising to roll in.

    I miss you, weird ice cream parlor. Your location was dogshit, but your ice cream wasn't.

  • Did you rape someone? In that case, engage in restitution for your victim(s) like Platner did not do. Turn yourself in to relevent authorities, if that is what your victims(s) want.

    Maybe I wouldn't want you in the Senate, as a rapist, where you would have more power and access to victims, but you could probably work in the background in politics or in your local council after you genuinely acted to make up for your behavior.

    If you're talking about saying bigoted shit on reddit, that is not the level we're discussing anymore.

    Even if she is telling the truth, she is a political operative first, and a victim second.

    If she's telling the truth, I don't care if she's a political operative, because what she's telling the truth about is being sexually assaulted by Platner. If you are using the timing as a reason to believe she is lying, then I understand that. But I can't imagine caring about her motivation if she is telling the truth.

    The "for all the wrong reasons" bit in the headline confused me. It gave me the impression that people were talking about the wrong part of his speech, but I think its intended meaning was just that he was talking up Nixon and comparing him to Trump and himself in the first place. I guess my confusion got me to read the article, so it served its purpose?

  • This guy's entire deal is that people like the name Kean in NJ politics. I wonder if he'll coast in entirely on name recognition from people oblivious he's been unable to do his job for ages. He could've stepped down and let another Republican have a shot, but that reduces the chance republicans have. It was held by a democrat before him and could be again.
