I replied to some AI post with the pic below and was blocked lol. Can’t pull the original because of that, sorry you’ll have to use your imagination to picture the slop.

Edit: just in case it wasn’t clear, I am not the author(?) of the original image. It was an AI slop graphic I just redrew on a post-it. In my opinion using AI harms the validity of any point you’re trying to make as it shows you’re unwilling to put forth effort to make your point and defend your position.

Except there are also RSS bots. While I’m not a fan of them, I can see how those could be useful for news and comic creators.

As long as they are marked and not attempting to imitate people, I’m fine. And I don’t think those that are attempting to be people will kindly mark themselves.

No shit dude. This is a meme about AI and construction. The entire argument this meme presents is the ability of AI (or rather lack of) to replace construction.

So coming in with a “AI has made in-roads with x other field” is a complete unrelated bullshit you’ve brought in to strengthen your defense of AI. That’s like if I said Invermectin doesn’t do shit for COVID, and you come in with “well it works great on horses”. Regardless of the legitimacy you ~~feel~~ your statement has, it’s off topic. And it still doesn’t change the fact that AI isn’t replacing shit when it comes to actual trades.

Don’t mistake my criticism as exclusion of other industries. At no point did I bring up any other industry and its relation to AI so let’s leave the straw man out of the argument. Furthermore you conflate sci-fi and hype with reality.

Specs exist, drawings exist, but work always deviates for one reason or another. It’s one thing to look at lines on a page and another to do it and be there. Little decisions to make changes to suit a situation or field conditions have to be made every day.

I’m talking commercial construction. Prebuilt homes have existed for ages. Hell you could buy a premade house from Sears. Good luck doing the same on a commercial level. To say nothing of the doldrum monotony of pre-fabricated buildings. There’s a reason pre-fabs aren’t more common.
