Colors should be able to all be manually set by the user if they want to, rounded corners should be configurable, and the user should be able to overwrite icons and some UI elements if possible, but it shouldn't have to be on a per-app basis.
Instead, apps should ready system settings configured by the user and apply their theming unless the app is configured to do otherwise, again, by the user. Consistency by default unless you don't want it.
I can see why this opinion would be unpopular (maybe designers want to make their UI a very specific way idk)... but I like theming!!
Also, there should be a mode between dark and light mode that has black text but doesn't have a blindingly white background.
Reddit killed third party apps and I didn't wanna use their shitty official app, so I searched for alternatives and switched to Lemmy. I happen to like open-source software, and the idea of the Fediverse is interesting as well =w=
Probably an arrow pointing down inside of a circle, like the download icon. Most of the software I use just has text saying "Save file" and no icon, and I usually press control + S anyways so I don't have much of an opinion regarding this
Click on one of the "Get it on ..." buttons, you probably want the F-Droid one, but if you have one of the other app stores you can use the other buttons.
Very rarely on purpose. Last time I willingly used a chatbot for something was like ~7 months ago IIRC. Sometimes I am searching random things up in incognito (so it doesn't pollute my browsing history) and DuckDuckGo shows the stupid AI overview because of course, in incognito it's not gonna know that I specifically disabled their "AI" features. It should be opt-in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, they're kinda useful by themselves, but in a search engine? Sure, it can filter results or whatever, but it's just easier for me to go to a website I know and look for the info there.
Also, I don't like chatbots because usually I just want to search one thing and leave - and to me, it doesn't feel like that's what they were designed for. They're meant for "conversation" but I don't want to talk to a bot. There are, of course, a plethora of other reasons why I don't like LLMs, which I won't be getting into in this reply.
Since I was named after my dad I suppose I would've been named after my mom or another family member.
And uh, I guess "Cally" is kind of gender neutral-ish but it is my main online username so it'd be weird to use it somewhere else. Also I'm unsure how to pronounce it in portuguese, which is my native language.
