  • Trying to find any application for NFT, I came to the conclusion that it would work IF you and me could be the servers there, having a copy of blockchain and verifying validity of keys until we get bored and quit that.   • Probably, it's an unconventional opinion, but I believe one may on their own will take any drug as long as they are responsible about it.

    There's the case of already awful person who doesn't understand anything, futher exaggerated by their keta binge, who doesn't even care about how they affect people's lives. All red flags, like it's a red corner in a soviet school. They shouldn't be judged on their drug abuse first, but by how they are careless and stupid by default.

  • It depends on how the management cares about the result or\and specifically needs someone responsible and with a certain reputation. International communications, e.g. UN sessions or the likes where highly trained humans do parallel translation, wouldn't be replaced at all, because a slight tonal shift in how they translate political stuff can cause a disasterous misunderstanding. Technical translation in industrial stuff shouldn't be too, for each sphere has it's specific bunch of therminology on each side, but here we are. And with arts\media, reputable companies with big money would still hire translators, but some would default to AI-unless-we-called-out mode.

  • He and Trump and GOP aren't petty there. They inject more distrust about the whole idea of voting. Rich people and corporation can lobby, but they still can't directly buy an election or a cabinet seat in the open. They spend a lot to push up some candidate after ensuring their loyalty, and it seems suboptimal to them. There is a golden moment where you probably can game the system to make max profits and then grab the bag and run. Because democracies are at least stable, and when they roll into dictatorships, you stop playing solitaire, it's now blackjack and you are walking a thin line between bankruptcy and being shot dead by a firing squad, because your elected politician has too much power to be securely bought.

    I feel like it's disproportionally favors developing startups\companies\scams who need some boost to start to break even, or old blood that can tolerate some pain if they may consume every other actor on the scene.

    There are benefactors to that, and they are the worst people on the market who would only accelerate the collapse for their short term gains.

Do I understand correctly that being an internet provider (and as WH can be singled out) means he can now know what resources everyone there access and force many proxy\VPN options shut?
