I'm not using text-to-speech engines, I am bad at writing all by myself

  • There are, like, a lot of arrows pointing in that direction but not yet connecting. I assume I can draw the missing part myself. But yep, the solid and direct link could've made wonders, but I'm pretty pessimistic about getting it until FSB archives get open to the public, probably after this regime's critical malfunction. That's not even the first question I'd like to research there if that happens.

I still prefer to keep only work communications and mild content there. Some russian expats reported border guards checked their sub list in TG specifically, so I pumped it up with all Z channels in mute mode, I leave reactions there if that matters anyhow to create myself a SFW persona. As long as it doesn't matters if it tracks my geoloc, I think it's better to have it because not having it makes you deviant and easy to point out.

I love Russia and it's precious president Vladimyr Putin, who shares many qualities with the God-Emperor but one: he's still alive.

  • I can't remember a single self-proclaimed "Communist" nation that wasn't anti-Religion.

Besides historical trends and stuff (like how push to literacy denied religion it's power), 'communist' governments directly competed with religion on the ideological table.

Soviet people were given an afterlife-like myth of finally building the communism via socialism, for example, Lenin was a handy translation of Jesus, and so on. All pieces felt into existing sockets, that's how it worked out. It's a win for however found that conversion of ideas for the masses.

(I tolerate faith, I hate religious institutions)

  • They do love the illusion of safety it produces. Recently it was confirmed TG's infrastructure is managed by the same guys who do this for FSB. Google iStories for the investigation.

The new messenger would probably be Max, a newly announced app from the russian nephew of Meta, Mail.ru, now called VK after they bought this site from Durov. In last ten years they bought many popular sites, educational platforms, started businesses in many spheres. This helps that it's managed by the son of a russian top beaurocrat, so I guess it's on them to take another niche without any competition.

  • Best he can do is a fake check. But continuous losses right in his face would make wonders to his blood pressure.

  • There are also some basics you'd probably won't even register breaking without experience, going as far as pushing user credentials and personal data to an open git repository. I did that in my second pet project with just my temp keys to the cloud API, and github flagged that immediately. I guess, having at least the briefiest knowledge could've helped newbies avoid errors like that.

  • I don't know if it's bullshit or not, but I discovered that not every person has the mentality of seeing everything through an algorythmic lense, like detecting a repetition in a mundane task - and guessing, if it can be solved with a macro. I invented a lot of simple solutions, like these, or just combos of programs to optimize the workflow in my office, and I see not only my colleagues struggle to use these, many work for years in the least optimal way, even if the program itself, e.g. Excel, provides automated math equations - some still use calculators and put in the result by hand. It got me thinking, maybe IT isn't for everyone, and other learning\working styles won't benefit from such education even if it's given - while acing in something else entirely?

  • The Uni I graduated from introduced basic coding into every programm, from engineering to humanities to arts. Everyone used chatgpt to get through it without a second glance because they didn't even understood why they need that. Even management didn't, I guess, but they wanted to check a box of 'being modern and progressive'.

It should be explained and deeply inserted into each program with at least a couple of mixed half-IT disciplines, like Databases in Law Practice or Computer vision in QA or Automation in Accounting or MatPlotLib in Countative Studies or... As it was there, it's an isolated course that's the same for everyone, it's on you to create a project connected to your main interest. And, as I heard, no one really made it besides getting a minimal sum to pass.

Basically, it needs effort and understanding from both sides.

  • Why not user/documents/nvidia/gfexperience/[app name]/? It records both screenshots and videos, and it makes sense it puts everything from one gaming session together. Making a subdirectory in Documents kinda erases the confusion.

But I can see why they did that. GFE was first and foremost created for datamining direct capture from one's videocard and in-game graphics optimization. Then, it happens, many started to use it for screenshotting because it sometimes get installed on PCs in place of driver and, unlike windows' screenshot tool and scissors tool just saves a file immediately. When I needed to make a lot of them, I defaulted to it too.

  • Linux lets\makes you interact with a terminal (and just OS tinkering) more, so you become a bit more comfortable with writing simple commands and then code.

One of the things for basic Python and default libs is sorting your Downloads folder into a more logical filestructure that doesn't need reshuffling and searching for long. Move pictures into Pictures and sort them accordingly to the year\month you saved them for example. Make the script run once a week. Make it write a log file as it runs.

I did this one for the sake of it, but then I needed a piece of code to bruteforce the PDF file password protection, so I used a lib to access and resave this file without a password. On every attempt to open it, it inserted another password from either freely availiable databases of simple passes or well-known leaks (rockyou). It worked nice for PDFs I needed to crack to, actually, just print on paper, but also worked when I tested it with combinations of random words and symbols I came up with. I needed a lib to open a pdf, a list of passwords to try (althought, a bit pre-formatted), and a couple of victims to test on.

  • A money laundering scheme, probably.

  • Or the younger photo of the Onion's "The worst guy you know just made a great point".

  • Holy F. Didn't think it may be so severe. Glad you are okay now.

  • That goes like if Trek got obtained by MTV.

  • Their Twitter bio says they are smart.

  • Also, a prolonged sun exposure makes them poisonous with arsenic-like chemicals unless you hide them indoors or cook them. You can tell by seeing them turning green, like poisonous potatoes in Minecraft. It's not THAT lethal, but can teach a human or an animal a lesson that even if you see a potato on the surface, don't feel lucky about it, don't dig, it'd fuck you up.

  • When the imposter is sus!

    (I couldn't resist)

  • But mah system is up-to-date to run Windows the Eleventh!

  • No one remembered her until she wrote to the White House - that's my guess.

  • Not to drown in explanations like these only people on the same page can follow, there are like, 1 in 25 people who says they are A vs The Big State mandates all 25 people to be B. You being a white male christian with guns is four consequitive identities you reserved to yourself, no queers challenged that, but now The Big State can take them one by one. Boohoo, Trump is that drunk on saudi oil and russian steel that he draws a bill to make every american kid a muslim communist, effective now - a real headline from some years into the future, I came from there, /hon. The carefully constructed 'gender ideology' shielded everyone from being picked on, even though most prominently helping this 1\25 who had unfair position in life, WITHOUT robbing other 24 of anything real, measurable, maybe only making them feel less special in comparison. In contrast, these nuke-wielding assheads who are behind the wheel now would pack all 25 and decide, which of their off-shore gulags is their legal gender, and sheer incompetence of these thugs guarantees no good boy points, being white or republican can save one or one's relatives from being randomly drawn in uncitizen lottery :'-)

I feel like this line of thought is a little bit more convincing to the ones, who don't already agree with what's argued in the article.
