I'm not using text-to-speech engines, I am bad at writing all by myself

  • Other than that, probably it's a licensing agreement that makes AI trainers keep paying if they still using that dataset.

  • If the sheer incompetence would stay consistent, US companies would start to buy chinese vcards and maybe even their inventory of underpowered nvidias. The American way is to play bait and switch without even baiting. It is to poke own eyes out to win at poker.

  • The watermark was iStock printing going all over the face photo. It could mean two things: either I was a real celebrity, or. I didn't want to explore what this "or" could've ment, so I smiled in all of my 32 trying to come off as at least a niche celebrity.

  • Let's use some more VRAM to make our pp faster

    Not faster than my brick!

    Thanks for writing a guide!

  • At the time they were pretty useless though. Moreso than Meta's ones. Some hipsters from Silicon Valley bought it following the fad but then found they can't do anything with it.

  • The book needs to be not copyrightable at the moment, then you need to have a copy, then you need to put work into scanning and OCRing it, then to place it in somewhere accessible. It's a pretty narrow window. Some books that get published now get no digital release or it's put behind a heavy price tag.

  • The point of bookburning is that it would only be accessible to AI, bringing forth it's monopoly on said first edition. No one would upload it to IA in the process. It is deleting one source of knowledge out of existence.

  • Fair use loophole, they claim they convert one physical book into one digital with no illicit copies, while also supporting the delusion of AI being an equivalent to a human reader. It is weird on so many levels but no one of noticeable weight asked them wtf.

  • I bet.

    (sorry)

  • It's crazy how Hatsune Miku went from THIS to Harry Potter 🤮

  • That's how gambling mechanics get hardwired into our brains.

  • This Admiral Patrick person needs mental counseling of some kind.

  • It's like reloading a shotgun while listening to Nirvana.

  • The dynamics of socmedia visibility are staggering.

  • We blame politicians all the time for both just leaving their position or still being a part of it, there is no win on just morals before there's some result. And if this person was genuine about being an insider in the nazi bar, he could've learnt how to stay there undetected. Now we are presented with evidence conflicting his story of being secretly a good guy because the good guy part never happened and what we have is a retired official who did get along with what was happening before he got dumped and started to tell unconvicning stories. What he'd do now is the question, and I doubt he'd do anything, but it could be funny if he could leak some another damning info of how the second Iran war goes as he had access to real data.

  • One of their last changelogs they posted on Lemmy 11 mounths ago (halfa year before injecting said blocklists) considers content filtering: https://lemmy.world/post/35006054 They wrote it was a huge undertaking for them to rewrite the filtering engine specifically. Welp, it went out of hand.

    Also:

Please do not take anything personally if you show up in the screenshots of my filtering preferences. These were either chosen at random because they were at the top of the feed at the time of testing or were chosen because they have both Lemmy and Piefed versions/alts and were used to test wildcard and regex based filtering.

It's funny to read it alongside their pretty opinionated commentary in blocklists.

☆ I want to log it: at the time of writing, no one brigaded the linked post or sub, upvotes on old 8mo old posts were in positives, lets not interfere with what's already dead.

  • I'm not sure that I follow the story right.

They specifically looped the LLM to infere with itself and use terminal WHILE some target metric is false? And it bruteforced it's way out of containment?

  • I am overburdened.
