  • The only billionaire I know of that is launching rockets is Elon Musk.

That's just evidence that capitalism is efficient. Because SpaceX has revolutionised space travel making the only reusable rocket doing something all the government agencies said was impossible. NASAs new unbuilt rocket is using tech from the 1970 that they are going to throe away into the ocean on every launch.

The rest you say is meaningless. How you expect this robotic skyscrapers to be built? Some MIT masters project or some capitalist experiment?

  • There has been efficiency gains throughout. Capitalism is amazing for that, far better than other systems.

The problem is too many people. If standard of living is to increase then the resource requirement is due to massive unsustainable population growth.

That and the fact the public hate externalities and don't want them used at all never mind aggressively.

  • Also perfect for going in a sarnie

  • Not the case.

Use to do a lot of sport had knee surgery at 21. As mentioned probably didn't eat enough, done a lot of on, off stop start stuff. Travelled the world. Switched activities. Was never overweight.

While I could have done more to improve my knees some people are just born with better knees than others and I've come to accept that. I don't have issues with my back or shoulders or neck or hands. I know people my age that do. It's just how it goes.

  • Fucking hell this is true.

So is the two day hangovers, you just don't get better. You wake up with a hangover where you think if I eat and nap it will be gone. 10pm rolls around and you feel exactly the same as you did at 10am. Then you feel tired and run down on the second day. People tell me it gets even worse and I believe them now. Can't drink hazy IPA without living to regret it, but I do that all the time.

I have never been overweight and largely been in shape but on and off. Now I feel it so bad getting back into it. It isn't about pushing yourself as hard as you can without pulling a muscle. It is about carefully listening to your body and when your joints start feeling weird it's time to stop.

Don't fuck about with your knees people. Wish I didn't jump off shit as a kid, also wish I ate more for recovery.

Where the fuck is my stem cell injections we were promised 10 years ago!

  • They always are and they know it.

Doesn't matter at that level it's all part of the game.

  • 👌

  • The internet is so tame now. Are there any websites left or is it largely just professional stuff left?

  • Japan is weird.

I really want to go and get involved, and I don't mean not in those weird videos or game shows you see on the internet.

  • Melbourne is a city of tryhards

  • That Baywatch show on friends looks good.

    "Always running"

  • Yea they really shoehorned her in. Would have been more accurate to make that character a man.

Oh well, could have been worse. Could have been made by Netflix.

  • I don't see how that goes against anything I have said? That just supports what I said if anything.

  • There is a shit load of gold out their in minute concentrations

  • There a lot of fatties out there that think they are healthy and that someone who got visible ribs in anorexic. Heard quite a few stories if people going to the doctors and finding out they are obese when they thought they were a healthy weight.

People need more education on this matter not less.

  • If someone works out how to make gold cheap. Then the current value of all gold will collapse and there were be a huge supply of shit that's been covered in dust in a vault for 100 years.

  • They can make steel with just electricity and I don't see why if you are making a fuel for planes why you wouldn't make straight kerosene.

I can see how you could mass produce hydrogen for industry then use it in winter. But I can also see all high energy industries going to places with good solar.

The future is going to be weird that's for sure.

  • Especially in Europe there is a big question of winter energy demand not meeting supply from solar. That causes issues that wind doesn't fully solve.

So I get that hydrogen could be an option to balance the grid over yearly time periods. Although I think batteries still look better.

But so much of hydrogen just seems like a scam

It added that all necessary equipment could soon be housed on a platform directly on an offshore wind turbine

Like why would you even do that? I don't get it. It must go from kinetic energy to electrical then to the hydrogen plant surely. Why wouldn't you send that electricity back to shore?
