  • If they were trying to erase parts of the constitution they wouldn't just scrub the website. They're doing this so people can't look up their rights.

  • Because I believe stick figures are of a higher quality than AI. An AI generated comic shows me that you cared so little about it that you couldn't even draw stick figures. And this has nothing to do with effort, but artistic intent. It shows that whoever did it had no desire to inject themselves into the comic and would rather have it look generic and bland. Fidelity does not equal quality.

  • Just make a comic with stick figures. Cyanide and Happiness literally became famous for doing it and turned into a semi-refined art style. You don't need AI if you got a good joke on your hands.

  • They are so desperate to push this and it's pretty obvious why. Companies have dumped hundreds of millions of dollars into AI like it was going to revolutionize literally everything and are now forcing it on people to make up for the fact that they were wrong. Don't get me wrong, AI has its uses, but their whole "solution for everything" mentality is really starting to backfire and they are just trying to make a profit off their investments. Basically "we spent way more money on this than we should have so you better use it or else."

Edit: In addition, every company is trying to be the one that's on top when the bubble pops which is only making it bigger and last longer which will only make it worse when it does actually pop. It's a problem they created and are sustaining themselves, and if they back out now it could be just as catastrophic as letting the bubble pop.

  • The only reason they are changing their mind is because it's too big to ignore because it's been ignored for too long. It didn't have to get this bad and something could have been done a long time ago but they chose not to. Never let them forget that they let this happen and that they knew it was happening.

  • And as soon as that happens, I'm out. I'd rather just opt out of the modern internet. I already have to deal with my information getting leaked from various different services at least once every couple years it seems. I can change a credit card or a password, I can't change my ID.

  • I pay between $75 - $150 a week for groceries as a single dude that only shops for himself. On a monthly basis that's my highest expense besides rent at about $300 - $400. That's how much my parents used to spend to shop for a family of 7 back in like 2010. The federal minimum wage back then was $7.25 an hour and even then it was still a struggle. And here we are 15 years later and the federal minimum wage is still $7.25 an hour.

  • Absolutely. Fuck the high road. If the system is rigged why should you play by the rules? I'm not saying that things like gerrymandering are a good thing when Democrats use it, because it isn't and should be banned, I'm just saying that if they are going to rig the system you might as well use it against them. But from what I've learned the easiest way to ban something like this is to use it against the people that take advantage of it.

  • The fact that they have to do this just proves that they are immensely unpopular right now even among independents and republicans. What some see as hopelessness I see as opportunity. If they have to cheat this badly and blatantly that means that they realize that the masses are pissed at them. They project that they are popular and that this is the will of the people on purpose while they know the truth.

  • I never thought running a campaign on issues that people care about would make them popular.

Like ffs how out of touch are these people?

  • This man is about to put things into overdrive just to avoid anything about Epstein.

  • So they can release this within a week after the Epstein uproar but have to wait for the courts and/or wait until after the August recess for congress to release anything related to Epstein? And remember, Trump literally said that he can declassify things just by thinking about it. If anything, this just makes it all even more suspicious.

  • I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just saying that making fun of people for having a conscience about it is just being a shitty person. The people that deserve the hate don't have a conscience about it and 100% deserve the hate.

  • So you'd rather have someone be hateful than kind? Like, I get it, MAGA deserves the hate. But is looking down on people for having a conscience really the best mentality to have? Would you call your mom a pussy because she felt bad for saying a curse word?

  • So are we supposed to just give up and just accept that every election is going to swing to the right now? Assuming they don't rig elections, how are we expected to get people over to the other side if we treat them like garbage even if they realized they fucked up? I don't think it's very wise in this current situation to continue to make enemies when we are all in danger. The fact that people are breaking away should be a good thing and we should encourage it instead of just calling them stupid. If one of your friends joined a cult and managed to get out, would you be pissed at your friend for falling for it or be pissed at the cult that manipulated them? In cults there are always hierarchies and the majority of MAGA are not the people we see in podcasts and on the news. Those are the people in charge and are the ones that convince people to join for their own selfish reason by being loud and portraying themselves as the victims.

Seriously, go look up videos of people that were in cults and tell me that it's their fault. There are people that would rather kill themselves than try and leave the cult because they are so scared. We only see this on a macroscopic scale while we never consider the small scale things going on all over the country. These people have literally been brainwashed and the people on the "outside" would rather call them stupid than give them a chance at fixing things. All that does is reinforce the idea that the cult is better because everyone else hates them.

Edit: I'm not saying we need to forgive them. All I'm saying is treat them like people instead of all of them being monsters.

  • For real. The only people that are surprised are the willfully ignorant. This shit has been a long time coming.

  • Well, you did actually. You just decided to ignore what everyone was warning you about and call it "fear mongering." People have been warning you since July of last year and you specifically chose to ignore it.

  • That gives "dad are you coming to pick me up from baseball practice" vibes.
