  • That sounds fun! I'll check it out.

  • That sounds good! We just finished Ourlander and the whole time i was screaming, "you know the future! Fucking build something!!"

  • Thanks! I've been finding a lot of great stuff on Libby.

  • I haven't read Dan Brown in years. I'll check that out.

  • I started reading Stephen King in high school in the 80s. One of my favs is Dead Zone. I also really like his books of short stories- it's nice to start one and finish it in a day or two. My husband loves the Dark Tower series.

I'm enjoying Knife. Did you see that they just added years to the attacker's sentence for terrorism? After this i think I'll read The Satanic Verses.

  • That's a great story!

  • Love a good mystery! I'll check those out.

  • My friends talk about having a movie running in their head when they read. I can't 'picture' things, so i don't have that. I'm going to Sleepy Hollow, NY with some friends and we're all reading the story before we go. I've been there, so it's kind of a sensory blast to read about the creek and cemetery and have a visual memory of it.

  • For the last 10-15 years i have probably only read about one book per year- usually one i got as a gift and forced myself through. Even with glasses or contacts reading for more than 10-15 minutes was uncomfortable. I recently got an e-reader and and love it! Being able to change the font, size, brightness is a game-changer!

  • Sounds cool. Thanks.

  • Thanks!

  • I like horror. Never heard of cosmic horror. I'll look into that.

  • We were recently talking about the movie No Country... I've never seen it. Maybe I'll add it to my read/watch list. Thanks.

    Reading anything good?

  • Good job, Oscar!

  • What's a user tag?

  • I love being older because i can give compliments - nice shirt, cool glasses, etc.- and they just say thank you and don't assume I'm flirting. It's more just human to human. That's my perception anyway.

  • Mixed feelings as I'm all for unregulated legal hemp and think it ridiculous that big canna is trying to shut it down, but i don't like shit that's mixed up from stuff under someone's kitchen sink.

  • Litter boxes, bars, concert venues, yarn crafts, travel, gardening, bernie, and Talarico - so, yeah, pretty accurate.

  • Yeah, for the first 5 years he was never out of a job for more than one day. There's a lot of turnover in the industry, which is good and bad. By your second or third job, you'll know people at a half dozen shops and a quick text that you're available can have you working immediately. Now he's become picky (no weekends, etc.) so it takes longer to find something. Also, he's trying to sustain himself on mobile/shadetree mechanic work and amp building/repair instead of having a boss.
