  • If you are interested in cars and live in a state that requires vehicle inspections, you could do that. My son did a two day class to get licensed. Then he easily walked into jobs.

  • We have two bengal mixes and they're both snuggly but otherwise their personalities are totally different. One is a huge girl, badass boss, guard cat who likes to lay where she can keep an eye on us and on the front door and has silky soft fur. She's 15 and has lost a lot of muscle but not attitude. The other is a small boy who is talkative (he meows when i sneeze), athletic, super skittish and has short, very soft, thick fur. He's 10 and still plays fetch and flies over the dog gate, but hides when strangers come over.

  • C'mon Topaz! Don't scare us like that!

My little cat has been 'lost' so many times! Every time he goes missing I freak out, search the house and yard, and, on the verge of tears, put a lost post on Facebook. Then, as if he's seen the post, he immediately wanders out of a new secret sleeping spot. I love that little fucker!

  • Online, yes. In the world, no, if you can find anyone without their face glued to a screen.

There always were (and always will be) some shitty people in the world, but mostly people are ok in person. If someone sucks, you can just walk away.

Online is different, especially for people who don't go outside. Too many people tend to hyperbolize everything and then block everyone they disagree with. It exacerbates the echo chamber and increases the fear/hate/isolation.

  • Agree -it's super interesting! I took a med that made me yawn a lot. Was weird, but it also helped reduce murder urges, so that was worth it. Studies show that some people with autism don't catch yawns.

  • Don't shit where you eat.

  • My huge TV is in my bedroom because there wasn't a wall big enough for it in the living room when we moved. Before we got it hung, we were using a projector that was actually bigger. My husband jokes about the neighbors watching TV with us through our bedroom window.

  • We have a 65 in the living room and a 65 on wheels that moves between the patio and my husbands office. Theres a 43 in the room that doubles as guest room and workout space. We have an 85 in the bedroom.

  • It's a West Texasism.

  • We spend a lot of time in our yard and have many many plants that require near daily maintenance. We've put rocks in waking/seating areas so those spots don't get worn and muddy. So, yeah, we treat it like living space and we want it to be nice, but we're not crazy. It's covered in leaves and dog poop 6 days per week.

  • These kids run through the house like shit through a goose.

  • Asshole meter.

  • Day after Easter. On a ham sandwich.

  • Mayo

  • I'm sorry about your kid situation. How do you handle that? Do you have hope for reconciliation?

One of mine left us last July 31. I think it's ridiculous and I'm both sad and angry about it. I hope it's not forever.

  • I lost my mom in 2023. She loved gardening. Awhile after she passed i dreamed that i was with her at Lowe's looking at plants and just chatting and having fun. In the dream i knew something wasn't right, that we weren't supposed to be there together. Before we went separate ways, i hugged her and told her i loved her. I woke up feeling so happy that i had that opportunity to spend one more afternoon with her. 😭

  • Keep track of every dollar you spend. Media makes it look like everyone drops $5 on coffee and $15 on lunch every day. As much as people cry about avocado toast comments, it's true- there's no reason to pay 5x the price for something you can easily make at home. It's easier to get a job when you have one. Get a job- any job- and then start looking for a better job.
