  • cd vs mkdir makes a big difference when a beginner follows a tutorial IMHO.

  • Like you said it's a community thing. There's a spectrum of acceptable behavior inside each one. I simply choose the one with the widest band possible at the end of my political preference. I still venture out into the tankie and hard R conservative crowd on occasion to keep perspective on the bigger picture though.

We're not immune to propaganda but it's easier to see the overlapping issues we all face and care about but end up being divided on how to solve it based on our personal and political leanings.

  • So the average reader has no critical thought or perspective but rather focuses on the emotion they feel on what was said. No wonder the FOX crowd is so easily swayed by angry actors presenting their case with the same few trigger words on loop.

  • "Want to configure the program to run? Just go to this directory and edit this text file!"

    Looks inside

    No file or directory exists.

  • Hey I'm working out to the point of (controlled) failure constantly. If a muscle isn't sore for at least a few days then I'm doing something wrong probably.

  • The world around us is shaped to serve the human figure. Steps, stairs, gaps between surfaces, ladders, and obstacles on the ground would be near impossible to navigate using wheels. Instead of changing the environment it'd be easier to make a humanoid robot that can navigate those things the same way we would.

  • Cameras should never be facing the inside of a vehicle, ever. I don't care if it's for "safety", get rid of these surveillance tools. There's a reason the Chinese government won't allow Teslas anywhere near military installations. Always assume everything we say and do in those cabins is being recorded for the benefit of corporations and governments but never for you. You are the product in a vehicle you purchased.

  • Anyone with a passing knowledge of chemistry and thermodynamics would know how it works in theory at least.

  • The husband is just as responsible for the situation as his wife was. He should have left her and run the moment she showed support for the guy who hates non-whites. That could've happened well before they had kids, it's not like it was a secret or anything. Pretending he wasn't talking about them is just delusional thinking.

  • This only works for one election. Conservatives have short memories and would vote the same bastard who made their lives miserable the first time back into office 4 years later. That's not an improvement, that's just a temporary reprieve from the systemic deconstruction of our government's purpose to help the general populace.

  • I guess those spinning magnetic pills one puts in beakers over a magnetic hot plate in chemistry labs are all an empirical hoax then.

  • It's funny how those who refuse to participate in highly data invasive activities are thought of as crazy or paranoid at the time but news that vindicates them years later just gets shrugged off by almost everyone in general.

  • The AI generated image is such an eye sore.

  • Is there any reason to use ReVanced when you can browse YouTube on Android's Firefox with uBlock Origin installed? It seems to work about the same but you can also run other extensions like DeArrow and Sponsor Block. It can even stream at 4k for some videos.

  • So other forms of orgasm offer no such relief?

  • '98 to '09 was the sweet spot. Textures make the page slider easier to spot and use.

  • Trader Joe's gummies that come in random shapes like fried eggs and cherries. They're on another level compared to other generic gummies. Must be because they're sourced from France.

  • Don't know why you're being downvoted. It's a real problem like with the turncoats Fetterman and Sinema ended up being. It's shocking there's no recall mechanism for politicians who go rogue in the US.

  • I hate how California, one of the most progressive states in the Union, can't get a governor that reflects the values of its people. Democrats have a choice between a bought and paid for corporatist or a billionaire that's saying things people want to hear but doesn't feel genuine. Voting for anyone else at this point is inviting trouble with giving Hilton a chance at the seat.
