  • Any private school is eligible regardless of if they are religious or not. Bunch of secular private schools are in the pool of scholarship eligibility. This isn't a benefit for the schools/religous as much as its supposed to be a benefit for low income families.

  • You don't understand how the program they are talking about works. Its aim is to help low income families have the same opportunities/options as high income families. This is a strike at class equity. Regardless of if you hate religion, giving a poor kid a chance to network into well to do circles should be a good thing. Any private school, regardless of it being religious or secular can be eligible. This is the state government trying to force a religious institution to adopt their political stance. Then the poor are punished if they don't. The Catholics don't want to play ball.

  • It's a social program that gives priority to low income and foster kids. They are able to apply for tuition assistance to any non public approved school. This would essentially just pull catholic schools out of that pool.

  • As it stands now, I donate/give away about 20-30% of what I produce, sell 30% and keep the rest. That's why it's something I do on the side, not my main income. Food stuff ends up at a pantry I like or with friends/family. Most of the wool goes to a lady from my church who makes stuff. I'd kind of like to learn more about doing the latter myself. Realistically though, I don't really want to dedicate the time or bandwidth to it lol. I'd like to expand my current pickeling/canning setup and expand the space I use for vegetables. It's a balance though. I want to keep it relatively small so because I don't want to be a full time farmer. I'd like to get better at keeping bees and keep more, it's hard to get them through winters. I could keep going on the little things I want to do for days. As well as the things I don't because I know they'd get away from me. I definitely don't want to end up putting my lady in a situation where she has to help out more just because I had an idea I couldn't keep up with. But anyway, at it's core, my vision for it is simple. Create high quality, clean food/products and always give away enough to make an impact. Apologies for the rambling I've been up for like 30 hours at this point.

  • Hopefully I'll be able to pass my little farm to someone willing to keep my vision for it going. Idk if I'll have kids but that would be a pretty good avenue if they want. If not maybe sell it to someone I trust when it becomes too much for me. Secondary to that, if I get to be a nuclear engineer in my state that would be pretty sick.
