  • It’s crap. I’ve listened to a little of it. Generic, predictable, and full of issues like “singers” rapping out 30 seconds of high volume lyrics without a single intake of breath. But it fits in with the general overall quality of available music on Spotify. A sea of boring and low-effort junk.

There are many places in the world with no posted or higher speed limits and far more deadly traffic related accidents than Americans with their “humongous death machines.” Want to bash Americans for stupidly large, numerous, and wasteful cars? Sure. But we’re nowhere near the top of the list for deaths or speed.

  • Difference is people in the US are generally not defending negative US history or actions, whereas .ml/hex never admit to Russian or Chinese issues and their entire argument is “No, u suck, imperialist west” and inject it everywhere unsolicited.

  • We already pay for that parking with the taxes that paid for the paving of the roads. This is double-dipping. They aren’t “losing” anything.

  • More rent seeking. Some company convinced cities that pay for parking would make the city money…with a nice cut for the company.

    Edit: the parking is already paid for because taxes paid to pave the roads where the parking is. Paid parking is an additional tax with a corporate middleman skimming off the top.

  • And this is why they get rid of oversight. A Simple inspection of the plans or work to be done would have showed these turbines before they were ever built.

    I doubt they’ll be removed.

  • A lot of the icons look interesting in a weird way. Allah.exe, a file folder that looks like it might say “Bloody Europeans” or something, Pakistan Zindabad (Long Live Pakistan), and oddly it’s all in English instead of Urdu or something.

  • A lot of our critical infrastructure is connected. From power generation to water to sewer. All have been subject to hacking attempts, some successful.

    I have also been saying for quite a long time that these things should not be connected in a way that they can be damaged or disabled by internet.

    But y’know, put it all on the web and write controller software for centralized remote operation and monitoring so you can fire people and run the system with less people for more profit.
