  • I've used OSM and MapQuest and MapQuest feels a lot more usable. It must pull from more than just OSM because if I type addresses I to OSM it often can't find it whereas I haven't had that issue with MapQuest yet.

  • There should still be a minimum though otherwise people with 0 met worth or income can just doo whatever and not have any consequences.

  • Sounds like you need to fire the person handing out vague and undefined tasks to everyone 😂

  • I think every crosswalk should have those retractable bollards.

  • It's mind boggling how poorly designed most of these systems are. These are multi-billion dollar corporations and they can't do a simple thing correctly for the most part when it comes to these systems.

For example, I don't know why this isn't the top and foremost thing but a car should NEVER be able to override when the human driver is trying to do. Sure, beep and adjust if veering out of the lane but as soon as any resistance it met by the wheel it should immediately turn off and let the driver do what they want to do.

  • Are there any studies that link phone use inside schools to those issues? Because I can easily believe that declining grades could be attributed towards the use of tablets and laptops being used in classrooms as well which many schools are encouraging or increasing the use of.

As for attention spans I would believe it's for the use of phones/tablets/electronics from a young age rather than the use of them inside of a school itself.

  • Wasnt this case actually vandalism? I thought someone went out with roundup or vinegar or something and killed the grass in a pattern like 88 47 or something (Hitler's number and Trump's number)

Or was that a different lawn?

  • Reminds me of my boomer boss that still uses pencil and calculator because Excel is too complicated.

  • The Punisher and Palworld 😂

  • Also people don't know how to be social anymore so they find it easier to tell a robot to write a warm rejection email rather than writing one themselves.

  • Just submitted a resume yesterday. Almost exact situation I'm in.

  • Probably fire a few people so they can maintain their giant bonuses for executives

  • Honestly I don't understand how Google is such a valuable company. They are absolutely useless for so much shit.

  • Because the British screwed us over for a favour from America.

6 people at the table 3 Americans, 2 Canadians and a brit. The Brit voted with the Americans.

  • "automated"

There is noaccurated and efficient automation when it comes to people. Sure you can flag some phrase that gets sent but unless you know the person there is no way you can say if it's a real threat or not. You will need someone to go through months of messages and phone their friends and family to understand if it's a real potential threat or just a joke/dark humour/bad day.

Having automatic phrases or words that might alert FBI about an imminent threat is just stupid.

If anything put them on a watchlist where an investigator is sent out, but that's it.

  • Don't see why they can't just have locked down WiFi networks so only staff and school equipment can use it and then have some sort of localized cell phone jamming that automatically turns off if a fire alarm or other alarm is triggered for emergencies.

  • Honestly if I were the contractor I would sue Trump and the administration since their motorcade stunt damaging the liner is now giving their company worldwide coverage on being incompetent contractors.

I mean, they probably are, but I would still sue to at least minimize the damage.

  • So the actually useful product gets shit down for the useless product

  • I don't understand how anyone can be an unpaid mod on that site now. Don't they see articles and headlines about stock prices and shit and wonder why aren't they getting a cut?
