  • Probably fire a few people so they can maintain their giant bonuses for executives

  • Honestly I don't understand how Google is such a valuable company. They are absolutely useless for so much shit.

  • Because the British screwed us over for a favour from America.

6 people at the table 3 Americans, 2 Canadians and a brit. The Brit voted with the Americans.

  • "automated"

There is noaccurated and efficient automation when it comes to people. Sure you can flag some phrase that gets sent but unless you know the person there is no way you can say if it's a real threat or not. You will need someone to go through months of messages and phone their friends and family to understand if it's a real potential threat or just a joke/dark humour/bad day.

Having automatic phrases or words that might alert FBI about an imminent threat is just stupid.

If anything put them on a watchlist where an investigator is sent out, but that's it.

  • Don't see why they can't just have locked down WiFi networks so only staff and school equipment can use it and then have some sort of localized cell phone jamming that automatically turns off if a fire alarm or other alarm is triggered for emergencies.

  • Honestly if I were the contractor I would sue Trump and the administration since their motorcade stunt damaging the liner is now giving their company worldwide coverage on being incompetent contractors.

I mean, they probably are, but I would still sue to at least minimize the damage.

  • So the actually useful product gets shit down for the useless product

  • I don't understand how anyone can be an unpaid mod on that site now. Don't they see articles and headlines about stock prices and shit and wonder why aren't they getting a cut?

  • Stores are often easily able to put a limit per transaction. I don't think a scalper is going to go through the till 500 times to clear the store of its 1000 jugs of milk limited to 2 per person.

  • I like how everyone is inventing a scenario to fit the two lines of dialogue and claiming it's this or that.

There's no way to definitely say if it's reasonable or not because they guy could be prioritizing gaming over his life and relationship or the lady could just be embarrassed that she is dating a guy with "immature" hobbies and he may be very regulated about the time spent gaming.

In one scenario it's reasonable in the other it's not.

  • Borders can be weird. Some can get very competitive, not surprised some would make fake images to pretend they saw some rare bird in an area they aren't normally seem or something.

  • I agree with everything except the loan interest increases.

Maybe they shouldn't have a mortgage on a property they are renting if that's going to cause them issues. Just sell it

  • I would say that they should just get taxed at what ever the price is on December 31 or January 01.

If you lose money you can claim it as a loss just as you would when you sell for a loss, up to a certain limit.

  • It's sort of the risk you take when buying a property with an easement though. Their realtor should have disclosed that.

If it wasn't there when they bought it the utility company should have had to at least pay market value for the land.

  • "chosen" as replacement? Who the fuck chose? It definitely wasn't the American public.

  • It doesn't violate constitutional rights as long as whatever the camera can detect/see would be the same as a police officer. If it has a license plate reader and face detection or whatever it's unconstitutional because an officer probably wouldn't have been able to issue a ticket if it were a person there instead of a camera. If it's something like an obviously missing seatbelt or phone use seen through the window at a reasonable angle it's constitutional.

I don't understand the "face an accuser in court" argument. It's a photo. You argue about the photo with the judge. The photo is your accuser.

  • It's hilarious that the Republicans are turning into a literal communist dictatorship.

Trump wants absolute power and is now subsidizing fuel using tax payer dollars to reduce prices for supporters of the party.

How is that not the fear mongered version of communism the Republicans have been foaming at the mouth about?

  • So it can let me filter out any brand that is in all CAPSLOCK? or has no vowels?

  • Well there are games where I absolutely cannot justify paying for unless there is a sale or waiting for it to go on discount due to being super old.

However I still don't pirate them just because they are priced too high if they are steam because I know eventually I will still have easy access I just need to be patient.

Cae in point this summer sale a game that came out 2-3 years ago I finally bought because it was 50% off its original $100 price tag (CAD). Finally felt it would be worth it.

Never pirates it became I knew steam would provide easy access and an eventual sale.
