We were together for 4 years. At the start i was nihilist and she was christian but respected each others views. Then we broke up coz satan made a guy gay.
Then in the last year of our relationship she suddenly wanted to me to go to church and listen to this guy talk about finding god. I thought fuck it, ill entertain the idea, whatever.
This guy (who was obviously gay) was talking about how satan made him gay and that turning to god made him straight. All i could see was pain in his eyes and hear the lack of conviction in his words. He brought his family out and everyone looked miserable. I felt terrible and cringey hearing this guy trying to convince everyone and himself that he wasnt gay and had found happiness.
My partners dad afterwards in the carpark was banging on about how the world would be better if gay people realised they werent gay but had a mental condition brought on by satan and i lost it and told her family to fuck emselves.
The guy ended up killing himself a few years later so I guess finding god didnt actually workout. Such a fucking shame cunts cant be themselves without other cunts judging em
Get a really good PC, i jumped from PS5 (console player all my life) to PC and im kicking myself I didnt do it before.
Hurts the wallet in the short term but you got access to way more games, games are way cheaper on Steam with sales all the time and you get access to mods. I can also still play most games with my PS5 controller (i dont like keyboard and mouse)
I thought i clogged the toilet at the police headquarters in Brisbane when i was doing my entrance exam. The water rose almost up to the seat and i was freaking out. The water just stayed there and I thought "this is it, i'm fucked, what do i do, who do i go to, what do i say" - and then it just randomly went down and everything was fine.
For me it's like being the only non-beleiver at the cult. Everything they say is so cringey, yet you have to smile and laugh because everyone else drank the koolaid. It makes me wanna crawl out of my skin. Maybe its coz im also the only introvert in a room full of extroverts, but those social interactions make me think maybe i dont belong in this world if these people seem to be the normal ones.
Its always just a fleeting thought though, im assuming like yours
Great idea and thanks for your input. However let's park that idea for now and we can circle back at a later date once we've done a deep dive to make sure there's enough fuel in the tank before we get on the highway.
Getting a job and building experience with training (especially in corp, they want people with specific skillsets). People that do contract work usually have years of industry experience after leaving their previous roles. Would you hire a person to fix your car if they had no experience but assured you they know what they're doing?
I'm an SEO Specialist/Content Manager and I would never hire someone for SEO, copywriting or social media who doesn't have a portfolio of work to show demonstrated experience for other brands. Plus most big companies outsource to agencies for contract type work, so I'm assuming you were reaching out to smaller businesses, but they would just get their marketing person to do it to save money.
Probs a common one but when ever Blinded By The Light came on I only heard "woke up like a douche" instead of "revved up like a deuce"
