People that do contract work usually have years of industry experience after leaving their previous roles. Would you hire a person to fix your car if they had no experience but assured you they know what they're doing?

  • I'm an SEO Specialist/Content Manager and I would never hire someone for SEO, copywriting or social media who doesn't have a portfolio of work to show demonstrated experience for other brands. Plus most big companies outsource to agencies for contract type work, so I'm assuming you were reaching out to smaller businesses, but they would just get their marketing person to do it to save money.

  • Gardening is a lot about trial and error - and there's always gonna be something catching you off (rain, pests, root rot etc).

    When I knew nothing, I started off growing 1 easy thing like tomatoes and going from there. You dont even need seeds, just grab a bag of premixed soil (there'll be bags at ya local supply store that say tomato mix) then cut a thick slice of a tomato from ya fridge and chuck it in a small pot of soil (saw it in a tiktok video). Once sprouts start coming up (like a 2 or 3 weeks) pull the biggest ones out and chuck em in their own pot and let em grow. Water em like once a week or every few days depending on the weather and bob's ya uncle.

    The cunts ended up growing through the bottom of the pot, through the turf and into the ground underneath, so they're strong bastards.

    The confidence of growing ya first veg motitivates you to tackle more stuff and before you know it ya got a green thumb.

  • With so many AI data centres needing so much power and none seeming to use solar power etc, we'll start seeing "grid rationing" where suburbs will get "time zones" where there will be power and no power.

    Instead of people rising up or pushing back, they will get distracted by arguing that certain/richer suburbs get prioitised more than lower class suburbs.

    My first gf cheated on me. We were together 4 years and i was using her laptop coz mine was getting repaired and i clicked paste and all this writting came up. I started reading it and realised it was an email she was writting to another guy about organising a meet up to fuck.

    I also cheated on one of my exes. We were together almost 5 years, and i wanted to leave the small town we grew up in and go to the big city and she didnt. We always fought and i would drop it and then hate myself for it. After the last fight, i cheated on her to stop myself going back on my dream again (knowing i cheated meant i couldnt have a relationship with her). Was a shitty way to handle it but i was desperate to get out of the loop we were stuck in and i made sure she never found out. Doesnt excuse what i did at all, but it changed my life for the better once i moved
