  • She has the "wrong" genitals. Only the women are seeing their careers burned alive. He's a narcissistic, misogynistic, cowardly bully. And a blithering dumbass.

  • Way to be 8 months behind, dipshit. As one of my two senators, what are you doing about it? As one of the senators who voted to reopen the government when everybody was on board with keeping it shut down until the right shit got funded, are you starting to understand how fucking wrong you were? Do something of value or fuck off.

  • Also vibes, gut feeling, and I heard it from some guy. But mostly just facts, and I guess that's not worth much these days.

  • Supply chain!

  • Right? In his sad little roast, trump said that Kaitlan Collins is attractive and also said that she looks like Dylan Mulvaney. So he thinks that Dylan Mulvaney is attractive. Which is fine, but it's weird that he also is trying to erase trans people. It's like these assholes are afraid of being attracted to somebody and then finding out that they have a penis, and that would make them gay, and gay=bad, so then they hate themselves. But like, who the fuck cares. Go fuck your wife and quit worrying about the genitals of people you'll never have a hope of fucking in the first place.

  • Has the tipster been arrested? No? Then that would be the result of a false report against Republicans too, right? No? Why do you think that is?

  • Many are saying that they would grieve with a bottle of champagne that they have on hand. I myself have a special bottle of bourbon set aside for just such an occasion. We may need to set that day aside annually as a day of mourning, allowing people time off from work and school to reflect.

  • Which only seems like incompetence if you foolishly believe that the goal was to profit. The goal was to fleece investors and/or launder Russian mob money. He's a fucking moron but the people handling his money for him were pretty smart and evil. Trump just had to shut the fuck up and let the grown-ups have access to his inheritance, but he insisted on pretending to be a smart business boy.

  • Good Lord. If trump looked any more like roadkill, he'd have to fight to keep RFK Jr from trying to eat him. He looks like absolute dogshit. I didn't think it was possible for somebody to look worse than Steve Bannon, and to be fair it's really fucking close, but trump does manage to look like a slightly worse, bloated corpse here.

But he's also a shitty president and a shitty person. Fuck trump. I can't wait to open my bottle of bourbon when it happens.

  • So... Death panels?

  • Their attention span isn't that long. It's only been 10 years since Obama and the only ones mentioning him are doing so because he's black. 5 years from now, they will think of Biden like we think of Gerald Ford: "oh yeah, fuck that guy"

  • Because they are. The world is scary and complicated to buffoons, and they lash out in frustration. It's a core tenet of conservatism.

  • a state [tax] will just push billionaires to other states

I don't know about you, but I take comfort in that.

  • He's like if Ralph Wiggum were an asshole.

  • I think that it might be fairly popular to instead propose replacing the congressional system with a parliamentary system. Most people generally agree that both parties are bad and that we all just choose our less bad preference because 3rd parties are incapable of winning in nearly all races. For whatever reason, people aren't unanimously on board with ranked choice voting, so I don't see a path to nuanced representation in Congress as it exists today.

Of course, there would probably be a lot of people bitching that the UK uses parliament so why did we fight a war to be independent just to end up using their system. Well, we ended up with a king, so this system didn't do what it was supposed to do.

  • You're right. I don't get your point. They are already supplying just fine. Starbucks already adjusts store hours seasonally, and they're not unique in this. It's not that complicated to work out.

Legitimately, after the first year, we'll all see that it's so much better that it's insane that we didn't do this sooner.

  • Yes, we all need to be in agreement about what time it is, but every business has different working hours. Starbucks opens before Staples for a good reason. And Starbucks has a later close time in the summer because there's more demand later if the sun is still up. If we all change all clocks one way or the other, Starbucks keeps the same schedule relative to the sun and what other people are doing. They don't strictly stick to the same open and close times if we decided to move the clocks by 6 hours, so there's no reason to believe that they would if it only moved 1 hour.

  • I guess I just don't see the point of doing it that way. You're not wrong, but we're already on DST so much more, so it's less disruptive to just keep that in place here. What we call the time is arbitrary, even if it wasn't always that way. I'd rather just go with DST year round than get stuck bickering over whether standard is the better choice and then pass nothing and keep this dumbass system of changing the clocks in November and March every year, fucking up sleep schedules and causing more car crashes and having confusing computer anomalies because our clocks change but theirs don't.

  • And it's in direct response to that Pennsylvania woman on the news at a gas station saying that she voted for him 3 times and "apparently I'm an idiot" over the gas prices. He's trying to keep PA from going blue.
