  • I remember seeing recently that they found 3 of the names who got sent to Guantanamo. 2 of the families they found and asked and both said they presented papers from their embassy showing their family members weren't criminals.

    The number of people who are going to be sent to fill quotas over actually having ever done something horrible is going to be staggering

  • Doesnt seem like it would have mattered by the way voting went. Even if Biden had beat Trump, the Senate and Congress would have been Republican still. So while our Republic would have stayed standing, no real changes Biden would have tried for would have ever happened.

  • He was a conservative, not a MAGA supporter in my opinion. At the end of the day I have to see it as conservatives have ideals that do not align with mine, but MAGA is a group that believes that their ideals matter more than the people's freedoms. They believe tearing apart a representative democracy is fine, so long as their ideology prospers at the moment, but it is VERY short sighted as their ideology isn't why the leaders of MAGA is reforming it. Once they have reformed it the conservatives who supported MAGA will no longer have much say in anything, their votes won't matter. The oligarchs will decide what size rations they/we deserve, and we all know those rations are shrinking and shrinking.

    Rogan would exist either way, Burr going on and telling him off in front of Rogans fans is as much as you can really ask of a comedian. Burr has the ability as a wealthy white man in America right now to say absolutely nothing and just agree with the guy trying to give him further tax cuts while stiffing the working class, but he chooses not too. Hell, Burrs form of comedy would have landed him shit tons of gigs with the conservative base.

    Yet people will always bitch about everyone not being perfect. Persuing only perfection will always be a hindrance of achieving progress.

  • They were talking about cutting down on $200 worth of subscriptions every month. I figured they were referring to Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Spotify, Paramount or whatever other steaming services charge monthly.

    I was getting at it isn't that hard to do. Could knock it down to ~20 a month pretty manageably.
