  • Notice you said a president can't create a new agency, then said Obama did. He didn't create it, the 114th Congress did. Both the Senate and the House were Republican majority when it was created. So it is true if Obama didn't want it he could have tried to veto it, but the only way it could have been created was by a majority vote.

    Something possibly worth noting as well: "This bill directs the President to continue to operate, for FY2017-FY2026, the United States Digital Service as such program operated using funds made available under the Information Technology Oversight and Reform account in division E of the Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Act, 2016." -H.R.5372

    DOGE may be auto defunded after Fiscal Year 2026 unless the Congress/Senate push through a continuation which undoubtedly they should be able to get approved being that they hold the house and Senate majority again.

  • The point of the copied text was to point out those workers were not newly hired and realizing they didn't want to participate in bad acts, they were employees that existed prior to this administration and quit because they didn't want to take part in bad acts.

    At no point do we hear that the employees worked for that company for at least 9 years, meaning that Obama starting the US Digital Service office is irrelevant. They could have started 2 years ago, 7 years ago or 9 years ago, that information is unknown so to tie it to the Obama Administration was chosen for a reason. I don't say the IRS started by the Abraham Lincoln has seen the O'Donnell resignation unless I am specifically trying to call attention to Lincoln.

    It's just a weird choice to bring it up

  • Next election? Kings don't need elections. The "president" declared himself over every intentionally independent entity created by Congress. They all report to him now... So "election" spending, controlled by him. What's allowed, controlled by him, what is allowed to air on television/media, only allowed by him. No media company can speak against him or they can legally be shut down and arrested because he and his attorney general alone can decide what is illegally performed by the media.

  • Why would an organization keep a database in Excel. Even Microsoft wouldn't recommend that, then again I don't think I'd use Access either, I've run into to many corrupt databases as they get larger, and I assume that database cant be to small

  • Yeah, throw in people blaming entire groups of people and blaming much of the world's problems on them and next thing you know you hear comments like "we should hang every one of those people.". "Run! ICE is coming."

    Those are comments I hear coworkers saying while on the clock, the second one yelled out the window of a work truck at a group of Hispanics working construction. The first because he thinks listening to conservative radio at work is a good idea. And they make the biggest reaches, and brought up a possible trans person in India that may have been planning a school shooting. And that was what warranted them saying we should hang all the trans people. It's like they don't understand at all that these people are born every day, and the only reason he hates them is because that conservative media is trying to find examples all across the globe and shove it down their throat daily.

    It will only get worse too. As you opress migrants and groups like trans people, eventually you back them into corners so small that they will have to last out more, and the media will spin those actions as the reason they were backed into the corner in the first place.
