  • Thank you kind person. May every road rise up to meet you, and every building you siege fall hastily

  • I set up a Jellyfin server on a 10 year old laptop that sits closed in the corner and I have access to play the content from my TV in the living room and bedroom, and any other device that I connect to my network and it was fairly simple. Finding content is likely the hinge that holds more people back. My lazy ass didn't want to have to go to the corner to acquire content so I set up rustdesk on my phone so I can remote to the laptop from my phone, turn the VPN on to hop to Madrid or so, and acquire what is wanted then remote to it later on to take it back off the VPN. (Allows me to do such when out and about, say someone mentions a movie or show when at work)

Was going to see if I could punch a hole with tailscale so I could leave the Jellyfin server local and just share the drive so I could write to it from "Spain" while read from it on the TV without having to switch the VPN on and off but haven't had a a few hours to spend on that yet. The shared drive is an old 5400rpm drive and it'll play movies at 1080p in 2 rooms without issue. (I don't bother with 4k, my eyes really aren't good enough to find the storage space use worth it)

  • I refuse to recognize a trebuchet as a form of catapult. Just as you have had to separate handguns and rifles, one should also recognize a trebuchet's superior siege ability at range

  • Many of these games are on other platforms.

Microsoft included Minesweeper and Solitaire in the early versions of Windows to teach users how to use a GUI interface. Minesweeper to teach differential of left and right click, and solitaire to teach users how to drag and drop. Neither were previously needed for most users.

  • And his second wife had safe words during texts to call for 3rd party help ie police and emergency services I assume. According to his second wife's sister.

  • Congress impeaches, then there is a trial in the Senate. A simple majority for the impeachment. A supermajority 2/3s for the trial that convicts them essentially for whatever the impeachment was.

Note that defying a federal judge is breaking the constitutional process and members of the legislative branch have sworn an oath to uphold and protect those processes. Meaning when they do not vote to remove him, they are breaking their oath of office and likely could be considered to be committing treason.

There is going to be a lot of oaths broken soon

  • Yeah the one part of the article someone was more worried about border security than their own ability to farm.

Well I cant afford to eat anymore, the products all became to expensive and I'm going to have to sell my farm for Nickles on the dollar but it's alright, because those other people trying to escape inflation somewhere else, didn't get a chance at an opportunity either.

  • I called Roku support for a TV that wasn't working and 90% of it was a LLM.

All basic troubleshooting including factory resetting the device and such seemed like it was covered and then they would forward you onto the manufacturer if it wasn't repaired because at that point they assume it is likely a hardware issue (backlight or LCD) and they want to get you to someone who can confirm and sell you a replacement I'm sure.

  • Thanks for the response, I remember reading about the second Boer War but it has been a long time. I appreciate you being willing to discuss the topic levely even though people were casting downvotes without fully hearing what you were trying to point out. It may be because the first message was brief and didn't contain the further extrapolation you have now provided. I look forward to learning more as this plays out.

  • Yeah that's why I was trying to ask objective questions to ensure I understood what qualifiers exist and what doesnt fall into them. My feelings towards Musk don't depict what I think of other South Africans. That would just be cruel.

  • Alright, so the primary language being English is the qualifier to depict whether or not they are classified as a Afrikaner. In the order Trump made does it specify English speaking won't get preferential immigration status? I would probably need to read the text to be able to depict who gets preferential treatment or not. It would have to be fairly detailed to omit those born of European descent but not primary speaking a set language. The whole thing seems very segregationalist to start. How would it not be seen as racist to his supporters that say DEI is racist to give preferential treatment based on similar qualifiers?

  • I mean Obama is the only president who might not have been getting social security checks for the last decade.

  • Well if the people at doge don't need security clearences to access the U.S. Treasury it's really more of a suggestion anyways.

  • I want to understand what you mean. Are you claiming that his native language is probably English and not Afrikaans so he is not Afrikaner? Or are you saying he isn't a white man born in South Africa of European decent?

  • I think someone needs to call France and have them come pick up the Statue of Liberty because we are no longer the land of the free. Something as dumb as that, speaks volumes to the pride of the people who make their kids pledge daily to a land they swore was free but the executive branch is actively not executing the laws created by the legislature (our representatives). Meaning we are a dictatorship, and not free at all. Liberty is dead

    Edit: fixed it for us

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Dictatorship for which it stands, one Nation Sundered and Forced under God, indivisible, without liberty nor justice for all."

  • Trump was a Democrat as well until Putin told him he could be a dictator instead. Note he stated in several interviews he talked with him directly and indirectly. Said he met him in person during interviews in 2023-2014 time period. Then when he ran for president both Trump and Putin both went to the narrative they had never met before.

  • There are a lot of steps before that happens. They are much more likely to end up killed than imprisoned by the looks of things.

  • Feelings will be hurt, but Insanity Wolf always gave me a chuckle

  • I'll have to figure out how to link you, I don't have anything much there yet. Just a few pictures. My name was lifeinmultiplec there as it chopped the name. I assume I need to give you an instance to find me though .
