  • They are setting up to manipulate the elections. Buying up media, taking over the campaign distribution systems, and possibly the voting systems, but I'm not really worried as much that he is going to try to stay after his 4 years. His brain is gone. If 1 conversation with say Zelensky or Putin makes him flip flop on what he is doing, he isn't making any decisions for himself anymore. Whoever the heritage foundation or whomever has made sure they have his ear will get whomever they want in office next.

  • In this context Tragic was a title earned for their efforts. It's like King Charles knighted the Titan, but since it was neither a Sir or Dame, it joined Titanic with the pronoun Tragic

  • Yeah, I don't believe every state allows it, but some do.

A good example is Ted Bundy, murdered 30+, maybe 100 people across at least 6 states. No federal charges were brought. He was arrested in Florida and faced charges in only 2 States I believe. He received so many convictions and the death penalty in Florida so I think the Feds and other states figured why bother, it will just cost more money and drag it out. (Think he has charges in Utah)

  • Didn't watch the movie but depends on the law. If you break a law, say murder. It can be charged at both a state and federal level. So if you are pardoned by the federal government, you can still get life in prison or the death penalty by a state

  • I always liked making bread when I was younger, but I hadn't made any in about 10 years and tried a bread maker recently that someone gave us.

Why do I feel like it's so much harder to make in a bread maker. Just throwing it on a pan seems so much easier for me.

  • Humbleness I see

  • I am above average at identifying things that I enjoy doing.

  • No explanations needed.

  • If when I pressed it it got rid of any remnants of me having been here, like was never born.. press it in a second.

  • It takes a strong person to lift those around them up and be seen as the best option. It's easier to smear those around them to make themselves look a better alternative.

Sounds like they have learned how to take the easy path from watching our elections over the years

  • If we pull all state and federal funding from schools then tell all the parents they will be arrested if they leave their kids home alone it would make available jobs and housing!

  • If you filed an extension in April, it extends your due date to Oct. 15th. Sorry for the worry, lol

  • It's been true since the budget reconciliation act of 1974 was put into place: https://www.congress.gov/crs-product/R40480

The year started October 1st. 20 hours later they could have passed it through the senate.

Government "shutdowns" didn't exist before then as they do now.

Where they did it for the Big Stupid Bill: https://www.naco.org/news/us-congress-passes-reconciliation-bill-what-it-means-counties

Edit: also if you read the article you posted, it states they could use reconciliation to get around the 60 vote necessity.

  • The could also reconcile the budget, break it into parts and they could have had the government portions that are shut down back up by October 2nd. Only 4 budgets have passed without reconciliation since 1974. They just reconciled the "big beautiful bill" on July 1st (passed 51-50) so they know the process . They need 0 votes from Democrats to pass the bill

  • The number of people I know of that are wondering why their e-filing for taxes with the IRS haven't gone through yet (deadline was the October 15th) is pretty high. "They normally go through in a couple hours"

There have been massive cuts to the federal government, and something like half the IRS is furloughed apparently at the moment. I have no evidence that's why something that normally runs fairly smooth is delayed.... But it sure as hell would make sense.

  • Sit in Senate hearings, study/learn break ties. Honestly not a bad job when you don't have a crazy administration. But it hasn't been smooth sailing for a VP in about 51 years now

  • Then there is people like my neighbor who has his naturalized and is always working, yet now all of the contracts are on hold here because I assume that many of the companies are worried their workers will get arrested even if they are here legally. I work from home right now and yesterday I just see him riding by mowing mine and the neighbors back yards because he's bored and always wants to be doing some kind of work. I know he already cut down a tree the other day after he put a new blade on his chainsaw, he's always working on his hobby vehicle. I've been stuck working late lately and can't get outside as much so I see him out there giving scratch to my chickens and running around with them. Guy is probably 58, and has the same energy I had when I was 16.

  • Didnt you see they arrested that guy who was a multi traffic ticket violated with his last speeding ticket in 2013! Hasn't had a speeding ticket in 12 years, he's gotta be up to something
