  • One of the more disturbing things that I got from this thread is in looking up 'releasing trapped gas in cows' ... some great videos out there of vets doing the work .... I just wouldn't want to be around it to experience the smell.

If you've ever felt bloated by gas, especially being lactose intolerant ... just be happy you aren't a cow.

  • I'm tempting fate again tonight because my wife wanted a little bit of hot chocolate milk .... she wanted a tiny cup of the stuff and I made too much and now I got stuck with drinking two mugs of hot chocolate. Nothing better than being lactose intolerant and drinking heated milk. It's my wife's fault she has to deal with the toxic fallout.

  • My favorite culinary volcanic Armageddon that I did to myself was ....

Having a milkshake at about noon, then an afternoon lunch of German sausage with sauerkraut, a variety of pickles and potato salad. In was a backyard party so I drank lots of fizzy pop.

Then in the evening I was feeling snackish so I made myself a plate of nachos with cheese and jalapeños and served with hot sauce, sour cream and guacamole sauce. Again I drank more fizzy pop.

It was all great until about 9pm that night ..... my bowels felt like a hot air balloon being prepped for flight, my stomach felt distended, I was farting constantly and I wanted to throw up. I lay down almost in tears like a baby and I was embarrassed.

My wife scolded me and told me that this would happen but I didn't listen. I felt stupid and just before I called the hospital, everything calmed down and I felt like I had come back from the dead.

  • I'm indigenous so I'm lactose intolerant .... but you build a tolerance to it all little by little over time. About ten years ago I got it that I could drink a huge milkshake (triple chocolate for those wondering ... chocolate milk, chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce with a good shot of vanilla .... it was like dessert crack). I drank regularly all summer and by the fall, I had gained ten pounds and didn't notice the discomfort anymore.

Stopped for the winter and went to do it again the next spring and I felt like my insides wanted to become my outsides. I had to slowly build my tolerance again little by little.

  • I'm tainted by the internet and it's turned my perceptions into sick fantasies

I was expecting a bit more racier photo spread than a couple dressed up like its a 1940s inspired Michael Jackson music video ..... Worfie are you OK?, So Worfie, are you OK?, Are you OK, Worfie?

Still really neat to see Michael Dorn and Terry Farrell featured like this though

  • The protests should be shutting down the country .... not violently ... peaceful protest refusing to use your work to continue running the country.

If enough people stood up and just said 'enough is enough, we're not working any more until this government changes or becomes more responsible' ... then things might actually change.

You're on the path now ... you can say that you can't protest because you'll lose your job or livelihood and that you have to make ends meet but the way things are going ... if you do nothing, you're still going to lose everything eventually.

  • What the fuck is wrong with America?

You got nutjobs like this saying stupid things ...

... a good portion of the country that either accepts it or supports it ...

... and the rest of the country that just idly sit by and either say little or do nothing about it all.

A year ago, I had some respect for Americans ... since then, I've lost almost all my respect for them. At first they were ruining themselves, now their stupidity is threatening us all everywhere.

  • Yes

And also, the major internet services and social media platforms should be publicly controlled and owned like postal services, medical services, water services or waste services (I know most American services are private, even in Canada) but all these services should be publicly controlled without private interests because they are the basis of running and maintaining peaceful democratic norms.

  • The_Picard_Maneuver is MIA

... that's kinda concerning ... and if they are in the US, disappearing people is starting to become the norm in that country. Hopefully everything is OK. Thanks for the info.

  • Whenever conservatives argue or demand that something be changed because they want it to .... you know that any change they make will only last as long as the money is flowing.

  • What small town is this from? ... asking for a friend .... who also has all their teeth.

  • The amazing part is that that 1988 song is a Weird Al song clone of Tiffany, who sang the pop song 'I Think We're Alone Now' in 1987 .... that was also a clone of the same song which was originally done by Tommy James and the Shondells in 1967.

Only reason I know that is that I once commented to an older friend of mine that I remembered the Tiffany song when I was a kid in 1987 .... and the old friend pointed out that they remembered the same song when they were a kid in 1967!

  • My washing machine is very basic and simple and I only ever use one specific wash cycle for everything ... and the other ones are very similar any way. They all run on average about 30 minutes.

So I just put on a timer on my phone ... 30 minutes - and label it 'washing machine' ... I can go about other things in my house, 30 minute timer goes off, I know my washing is done and I start another load.

I do the same with my dryer ... depending on the load and type, the cycle runs about 40 minutes ... so I just create a timer for that and that's it.

If I get to the basement too early and the cycle is still running, I know that I just have to wait a few minutes for it to finish ... and usually, I'll busy myself with other things while I wait anyway.

  • I gauge how strong Turnip is by how complacent the country is.

  • The fact that she is still alive ... bleeding, broken bones, missing teeth, in pain is a good sign

The fact that she is still alive is false advertising for what actually happens to Red Shirts
